I have recently started a blog and when I tried to register for an account on google adsense. I just can't get it to work. Google says that my site needs to be 6 month old before I submit the application. But I heard from one of my friends that he had no issues doing this eventhough his site was new too. Is this a new google policy?

google tighten their policies day by day

Google is now becoming harder and harder for new users cause of copied content. when you copy any article, Google says no no. this problem can also be faced in other countries in case of rough contents such like in Pakistan.
My some of friends faced this problem because they have copied articles from europion blogs.

it's not surprising that Google is tighteneing it's TOS. But the other thing is if people would just take a few minutes to read the TOS, a lot of grief would be avoided

6 months? - Internet myth my friend!

I just recheck from google website.

"...In some locations, including China and India, we require publishers to have owned their sites for 6 months. We've taken this step to ensure the quality of our advertising network and protect the interests of our advertisers and existing publishers..."

Oh.. I just realize this.
Then I will tell my friends who like to join adsense program to at least register for some blogs first to get the "age" of their blogs old enough before submitting to google.

I'll tell you what.
I was having no intention of adding adsense ads on my blogger blog. While I was looking at the admin panel and trying my hands on various options. Blogger gave an option to me, itself, to add Google ads and earn money!
Now tell me, why this double crossing?

On one end, it asks me to put ads, and on the other hand it tells me to wait for six months!
That's ridiculous and unexpected from an org like Google.

I do know and there is nothing in the UK TOC's mentioning 6 months - Nor does anyone I know running adsense in the UK have had to wait 6 months, this seems specific to China. And as I don't live in China how can I be "knowing by now". I know most people that run adsense on Blogger get approved immediately. Only time I've heard of people getting turned down is for spam/low quality sites. But then on just over $300 per day what do I know about adsense.......

And are you trying to mean that my site is spammy or low quality?
Even you were at this stage some day. Learn to respect others.
I was just saying that you should not have jumped to the conclusion that ITS A MYTH, before knowing the facts or reading the posts above yours. Congratulations for your 300Ds per day. Make merry and don't get angry.
