I have been trying for the past few days to upload Adsense to my website with no luck. I copied the Adsense code to Notepad and saved as an html file. When I open the saved file the ad appears ok but then when I upload via core ftp nothing displays on my website. I am uploading the file to the root directory /public_html which is where I understand it should go but still no Adsense ads display.

I initially used Filezilla but came across some info using a Google search that said Filezilla corrupts Adsense code. So I have now tried two different ftp clients with no luck. I'm guessing that I'm omitting something really simple but for the life of me cannot figure out what it is. My account has been approved and the status is currently active so I'm now looking for some guidance with where I might be going wrong.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Does the page you created have any content on it or just the adsense script?

It is still a work in progress but yes it does have content.

url? would be good so we could all see if it's a local problem or a global one?

Try using a program called "LeechFTP" never had problem with it.

I've added the script to the page several times but never see the ads.

Errm...I agree with Chris. Where's the adsense on the homepage??? Also this site won't do well as you have tried to go for a whole heap of top adsense keywords in one site, it just won't work it's far too diverse. You'd be far better building dedicated niche sites. Having been on a long learning curve with regards to adsense trust me on this one. If you are running adsense on the index page then I'm not surprised it's displaying nothing as I doubt the bot has a clue what your sites about.
