I've recently just made the $100 point, but it took me a few months and was wondering did it take anyone else a few months to get to that point?

it takes years or so, my first $ 100 reached 1 year and second is still on process I started 2008.

It depends on the amount of traffic your are receiving on your website. Also the location of traffic matters to earn better revenue from Google Adsense.

Same situation with me i daily check my income but just a little day by day. very slow process of making $ 100

When I first started out it took a while to hit the $100 mark. Unless you have an established site with a lot of traffic and then switch to Adsense it's hard to make $100 the first month.
When you get that first check in the mail it's a fun feeling, almost addictive. As time goes on and your site grows the checks come more frequently and get bigger. You'll get there.

My site was already receiving traffic when I applied to Adsense so it took me only two months for my first $100

It took me 3 months to earn 100$.
After reaching this milestone, I get 100$ every month.

The first time I did business on the net (over ten years ago)..
I built a site for a friend and got paid $1000.......
My first site.....Got the first 11 spots on Google for his keywords....
(Some of those tricks will not work now.....but some will)...))

6 to 8 months for me to reach $100

i started from 2005 and running to $100 until now

very slow process of making $ 100

It makes me wonder why people even bother with google ads, basically nothing money and they are slowing your site loading times, I dumped google ads a few years ago, for the money they pay it isn't worth giving your users a crap experience with their crappy ads and crappy loading times.

You'd be surprised at the sites making $5,000+ a month from Adsense.

Lets be unrealistic about this, lets say 1 in 10 people click an ad on a site and its a dollar a click, so they need 50k uniques per month, a more realistic figure could be 1 in a 100 click an ad, they would need half a million uniques at a dollar a click, to get half a million uniques per month, well, I'm nearly there and I wouldn't waste space with google adsense.

To each his own. I find it best to diversify a little bit. I run GA along with AdBrite and a couple other services. I sell my ad spots but if I don't have someone booked at that time I'm not going to let the real estate go to waste. Rather than leave the spot empty until a new advertiser signs on, I throw a Google ad in the spot. Every little bit helps. If some people are running sites with low traffic or a certain niche it may be hard to book a solid advertiser so Adsense may be a good source of revenue for them.

To raech $100 is not easy not difficult .its depend upon the traffic .

I was having some trouble with my CTR but my traffic was high. I threw on YieldBuild to test it out about a week ago and it's making decent cash just off the CPM. You can run it with Adsense so if you have the traffic it might be worth checking out:

I'm extremely disappointed with the returns and the content of the ads served up by AdBrite but for some sites that might work as well.
