Adsense referal is pretty good too. Doesnt Adsense pay more per click depending on how competitive your line of work is? Im pretty sure most only pay a couple of cents per click, and the larger industries Adsense pays much higher click rates.

My Main source is adsense, I use adbrite and bidvertiser also, thinking of dropping them. Not worth the space.

This isn't something that I have really done, but I know that it's something that I NEED to do in order to generate more revenue.

You can't put all of your eggs in one basket. The more ways to generate cash you have implemented on your website, the more likely you are to make money.

I come from - and still am in - the restaurant business, which is a penny business. I'm starting to realize more and more that what us webmasters do is truly a penny business as well.

My next target may be CJ, as I have heard good reviews of them over the last year or so.

I don't think that google adsense is the best sourse for website income.

Some days ago I read in .net magazine (issue 186, march 2009) that advert click rates are getting less. They say 0.1%. I don't think it is that low but I would estimate the range at 0.1% to 0.5%.

Example:

If you have 500 visitors a day and 5 page views per visit = 2500 pages. Then expect your clicks to be 2 to 13 per day. The most important thing is to get an advert system that pays the most per click.

New ideas:

1. Try affiliate systems instead. For example, Here is a Multi Level Marketing System that can blow google adverts out of the water. It takes a bit of effort from you to get your first few sing ups but then it snowballs like mad. After working this system for 6 months you could sit back with a regular income of $1000 to $2000 per month. However, I bet you will still keep going!

2. Think about about adverts that engage the user. Something that looks different. I think we have all become so use to the adverts that we ignore them.
