I just started a wordpress blog and am using the classic design. While I see where I can put links on the blog, I do not see where I can put adwords on so that it appears on every page. So I guess I am asking if anyone knows how to put google adwords on wordpress (classic template). Thanks in advance.

I'm assuming you mean AdSense, which are the ads you display and not AdWords whch are the ads you pay for.

The easiest way to display AdSense with WordPress is using the AdSenseDeluxe plugin.

I'm using it myself and it's very easy to setup and use.
