can someone tell me about how i advertise in my website through google adsense. What is the procedure?

Are you looking to have ads that appear on other people's sites (AdWord) or are you looking to display the ads of other sites on your site (AdSense)

Either way the procedure starts by signing up for either program with Google.

if you are talking about putting adsense on your pages, then u also need to study a bit on how to set up your ads (e.g. ad placement, colors, format... etc).

No it will just show thier advverts on your site.
If you want to advertise you have to sign up for adwords.

With AdSense you get code from Google that will allow you disply other people's ads on your site.

With AdWords you sign up and bid on keywords so your ads will show up in search results.

AdSense displays those ads which are put into AdWords by advertisers.
