I recently bought an ad on eBay from a webmaster promising to send me 50,000 hits using a pop under ad on his website. I'm not a big fan of pop unders or ups myself, but it was $1.00, and I was desperate to promote my site a bit. I got the hits pretty fast; a bunch of ghost hits but thats what I expected.

I get an warning email from Google the next day. It says that I used an autohits program or pay per click incentive program to generate false impressions. The guy didn't even use a popunder, he just went straight to autohits.dk and wasted a bunch of my bandwidth.

So be careful when you buy advertising on eBay, and make sure you are working with something you can trust.
