Ok we all know that it's smarter to place ads above the fold as opposed to ads below the fold. But there's a question that's always haunting me. Which place to put the ads above the fold? Is it left or is it right? Some sites say Left (lets call them the Leftist), while some say it's right (we'll call the Right-Wing).

But which is it: Left or Right?

I've tried left side and so far it's still work for me...

According to the adsense heatmap adverts on the left recieve a higher number of clicks.

left, left, and again left. i have it on teh left and get thausands of clicks, ppl think its the site navigation.

I would say center Ads mixed with content gives me the best results. Yeah, left performs a lot better compared to right.
