I'm the webmaster at www.webmaster-dome.com. Recently, I got a shoking stat in my account. I got almost 1491 page views in the last 2 months and got only 13 clicks. Totally odd !!!! How did this happen ? I didnt use any bots and the traffic is right and real. I've confirmed it. But the clicks are way low.

Can anyone see my site and point out my problems ? Pls. I'm in need of your help.

Your CTR is low, but that's not so odd. Tech savvy visitors generally click on ads less so the CTR may always be on the low side.

Right now though you have a benchmark. You can try making some changes and see if over the next month your CTR goes up. It'll take some time to get the ads optimized for the maximum clicks.

Yes. But how can my blog survive with this scanty income. I've to pay for hosting and domain you know. How do u guys raise the $$ from blogging ?

I have the same problem with my SEFL site...lots of traffic, relatively low CTR. My other site (the ADAM Web Design site) actually makes more through GAS.

Well I don't expect the blogging to pay for much on my site. Same thing with the tech savvy visitors. I haven't really spent much time trying to optimize the ads, but I assume if I do I can improve the CTR some. After that as I increase traffic to the blog it should generate more revenue.

But revenue isn't the only reason I blog. The services I offer are the main way I generate an income. Anything from the blog at this point is just extra.

That's not too bad, but I guess it could be better. You could try adding some CPM banners and selling some text links if you have trouble covering hosting costs.

Yeah i would agree. I have 2 blogs that i pay close attention to and a bunch of others that i don't work too hard on. And the CTR of my SEO blog is a lot lower than the CTR of a non-webmaster video based blog.

99% of webmasters can spot an advert a mile off, Where as regular internet users probably don't even realize that you get paid when they click an advert.

Well, AD blindness is a very serious problem nowadays. I'm trying to build a site on a different niche. About the links. I tried it. But nobody buys it. Because I've low PR. I told them that PR isn't always important. I told them I have about 20 uniques a day. But they won't believe.

I need some backlinks. Can you guys pls giv e me some ? I'm in big trouble. If this goes this way, I'll be running in loss and maybe stop the site. Can you do this for me ? My caption would be "Webmaster Dome SEO Blog" and link pointing to "http://www.webmaster-dome.com".

I once experimented with image ADs but even if the no.of clicks increased, the images annoyed a lot of my visitors that they stopped coming back.

im only at like 3% myself... is that the norm for average adsense people???

That's interesting I have a search portal, actually I have many search portals, I have an average of about 15% click through rate, my dilema is I don't get much more than 3c per click and I get over 1000 clicks per day....but do the math and that's only $30 a day.

Well, that maybe because Google would be giving low CPC for search portals. I've heard this on some other board.

13, all I can say is woohoo!
For slightly over 4000 visitors, in this month, I received 10 clicks.
Now, if I could multiply my traffic by 5, I could break even on my site.

take your bis up, and make sure ur tageting the right keyword. also - make a catchy ad title.

One of my sites has a low CTR. This month one of my sites has had 56,142 page views and only 106 clicks. Is that a 0.19 CTR?

Maybe you guys are choosing the wrong niches. It seems to me that most of the people on this forum choose webmaster and SEO type websites which are very competitive. As someone said in one of the posts above, most webmasters are tech savvy and totally ignore adsense ads or any ad for that matter.

My websites have nothing to do with the web and I get a click through rate averaging about 10-15% depending on the month. Some websites are averaging about a 20% click through rate.

I don't have any Adwords background. Thats a problem. But there's something else. I've got approved for Text-Link-Ads and Review Me. Is that gonna save me ?

I dont see any adsense ad units on your pages.

ctr is all about age range and tech savvy visitors, my click through on 2 of my sites is under 1% always, but they are for younger folks, and there ads are low paying, so say i get 10 clicks a day i might only make 1$, on my 3rd site its based on older people, and the ctr is 10% plus each click pays 10x of the other sites, ads are contexual, so if your context isnt a high marker or high pay you will never make much of anything, my goal is to make 4k+ a month and i can see that happenning as long as i use my head, how much is your average cpc on your site? i finally got smart when i got a 180 clicks in 1 day and made 4$ and realized my sites content was real real low paying 1-5c average, i have a jeep site that pays 20-70c ,
