OK, thanks for the updates. Yeah, I'd be interested to hear how these two work out for people.

Thanks Deb for letting everyone know about these sites. You're right. Both of these would make a good fit for John's blog. thenewsroom probably won't work as well for me, but maybe I can find another site where it would make sense. Mochila looks interesting, although I went to view the ads in action on their site and they weren't working. Has anyone put Mochila on their site yet. I'd certainly be interested in seeing what the ads look like.

I haven't yet, but plan to later. I'm not supposed to be online much right now -- had the eye surgery a few months ago and am going in for shoulder surgery soon if the physical therapy doesn't help. Getting hit by a semi kind of messes with your world a bit.

Did those thenewsroom news stories load slow for you too, Steven? Or was it just me because I'm on dialup?

They loaded a little slow, but not horribly slow.

How are the eyes doing? I think I'd be so afraid to have any surgery done on my eyes. And what did you do to your shoulder?

Eyes are holding up fine. RE:shoulder -- I was hit broadside by a double-haul 18 wheeler going 45 mph through a red light. I was at the Intersection sitting at the red light and he was drunk, went through it from the other side and plowed into the side of my car. That was right before my son was born 11 years ago.

I ended up with broken bones in my face, shoulder, arm, and hands. I had cuts everywhere from the windshield breaking and coming in on me. It pushed the side of the car up over top of the front and back seats, about a foot and a half.

It was a very serious car accident. Went through physical therapy, surgery, casts and stitches. Took me almost a year to recover from the injuries.

Anyway, since then the left shoulder and left arm haven't been super strong because of all the soft tissue damage. I went back to weight lifting like I've always done (I'm not a BUFF female ... just healthy. )

I started having some problems with it about 2 months ago thinking it was just a stiff neck or something. Been living with severe pain now every day for 2 months and have too much work to finish so didn't go to the hospital until a few days ago. Turns out it's not a sprain or anything "easy" like that. It's a ruptured tendon, and it hurts like hell.

I haven't been online much, or programming as much because I can't move the left arm at all.

It bothers me because I'm an active person and not being mobile is worse than death to me.

sorry to hear that Deb, hope you make a full recovery.
as promised, I resolved thenewsroom issue, or rather they resolved, their tech support was quite helpful, there is a bug in the page gives the generated code, but they emailed me the correct code - you can see it working here

Oww Deb. Sorry you have to go through this. It's one thing to be in a car accident when you're at fault and another to be just sitting there minding your own business.

Did you schedule surgery? Or are you still hoping physical therapy will be enough?

My Dr. has set a date for the surgery but I'm holding out until we see whether or not the physical therapy works. BenGay has been an instant friend these past months. LOL!

Sigma, are they going to post the corrected code to their page? If not, could you post it here so that way anyone grabbing it before it's corrected there would be able to get working code from here.

they are going to fix the pages, posting the code wouldn't help, as different feeds and formats have different code, my code is one format and one newsfeed (middle east) only
