Anyone got opinions on this, I prefer text ads because they blend in more with my site, am considering adding a google search box, anyone got experience of the revenue compared with the text ads

Just my personal preference, I would like to text ads too, and I will only select text-only ads. For search box, I also implemented them into my sites, and sometimes they give me back some good bonus return.

Same here... search boxes don't bring in consistent revenue. However they don't clutter the page so much and bring in the occasional windfall.

Also, I found that placing a vertical or a horizontal 5link unit (links only) in strategic places tends to have a very nice click-through rate.

Text ads are the best ( also the ad units ) Image ads are not have more users. So many times it goes blank and no ads shown. Search box are not good, it' s hard a person that click ads after a search result. Also it's comission is low. 4 unit text ads are the best in my opinion and experience.
