I have a campaign running in adwords where all terms are set to Phrase.

Is it possible to find out what we actually typed?

Eg. Air Compressors

was oiless air compressors
air compressors spares
air tools compressors
actually typed?

I know I could run another campaign for exact match but I want to know if there are any terms out there I am missing? Or the way some people write the terms i know and order of words in that term?

Wild guess - but do you have google analytics tied into it? If so - I would think that you will be able to see what ppl are typing in to get to your site.

you can use Google analytics, or install site counter, or similar software.

Use Google Adwords webmaster tool to find search counts and other related keywords to your niche over there.

If i'm understanding your question correctly you can do this from within Adwords. Tick the box next to the phrase matched term you are interested in and then click on the "see search terms" dropdown and "selected"..

You can see EXACTLY what people are typing in to cause them to get matched with your existing campaign.

Login to Adwords Editor. Click on the campaign. Click on the Ad Group name. Click on the keywords tab to see the keywords you currently have in the Ad Group. Then click on the "See search terms" dropdown just above your keywords... and choose "All" from the drop down.

One caveat:

This will ONLY show search phrases where your ad was shown and you got at LEAST one click-thru.

You might want to consider adding these as exact match keywords in that Ad Group (or possibly creating a different Ad Group) if they have a great click-thru and/or great conversion rate so that you can bid on them differently.
