Hi Dony,

The most important thing for SEO is to make your site worth browsing too. Of course there are all the technical things you need to do such as using Valid markup and so on, but seriously you shall receive a lot more back-links if your site has something to offer. But back-links can affect your page ranking. I have got some sites I visit and also recommend and try to make my own worth visiting see this URL http://trafficbooster.org by george karamesinis.

I would vote for both. But will go for Backlinks and then content. Both are so much interlinked that there is hardly any distinction. If you have content then you will get normally backlinks. And if you can manage some good backlinks you will have good traffic.

You need both. A few good links and good content will get you results from all the search engines.

(BTW This shouldn't be in the Adwords forum really)

As everyone said, Content and backlinks both are very important to get hits on site and make it popular. IMO, you should first do content optimization with right keywords and SEO for site to increase search engine ranking. After getting good hits then go for backlinks to increase PR. Good Luck!
