Inaccurate Display URL

I have started a campaign promoting a product from Clickbank. Google complains about an Inaccurate Display URL for my ads.

My ads use a display URL of the format

www.mydomain.com.

The destination URL is of the format

www.mydomain.com/products/landing-page.shtml

The landing page only contains a cloaked hop-link to the actual product:

<html>
<head>
<title>Loading page...</title>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;URL=http://AFFILIATE.PUBLISHER.hop.clickbank.net">
<script>
url='http://AFFILIATE.PUBLISHER.hop.clickbank.net';
if(document.images) { top.location.replace(url); }
else { top.location.href=url; }
</script>
</head>
<body>Loading
<a href=http://AFFILIATE.PUBLISHER.hop.clickbank.net>page</a>...
</body>
</html>

How do I specify correct URLs for Google Ads when promoting products from Clickbank?

Don't use a meta redirect (or any kind of automatic redirect)

probably also explains your other problem

Yes, I thought so too about this automatic re-direct.

I was trying to avoid competing with other advertisers promoting the display URL. Maybe using an IFRAME might help:

Iframe will be just as bad, if not worse for the quality scoring

Why not just write a decent landing page, with some unique copy on it that should,
1/ Lower the maximum bid.
2/ probably get more clickthroughs

You then use a "jump link" to go to the signup/sales page.

this way you "outsmart" the competition by actually being smarter than them rather than just playing silly "tricks"

I have actually used iframes with much success for a variety of campaigns. Where I think chrishirst is giving good advice I am not sure if it always kills a quality score since many of my iframed campaigns have minimum bids at $.02! I have also added an iframe with width and height parameters so I can adjust it. This works good for CPA offers that only take up a quarter or even only half of the webpage fold.

Then below the iframe you can have links to articles and other pertinent content if you like. 2-3 paragraphs of unique content that is keyword rich underneath the iframe, along with maybe some relevant links should keep you from getting slapped or whatever problem you are having.

I only keep a campaign like this running until I know it is going to remain profitable (or at least seems that it will.) At that point I will generally build a dedicated site for it.
