Hi, I'm new to html (very new), I'm mastered some of the basics (very basic) and am a bit stuck when it comes to thumbnails. Excuse my ignorance but I am in a bit at the deep end here, but here goes.
I want to be able to have a tiny thumbnail image that is clickable and then links to the full sizes image. If you could copy and paste the following and include you help, it would be great.
1, I think I'm aware that I need to create both the small and large sized images, as jpegs and save them in my working folder. Is this the right file type to use, and what would you suggest are ideal sizes ?
2, I know this sound daft (sorry), but does it matter what the file name is, does the file name have to start or end in a particular way, or is it just the file type that must be correct. Any example/s you could give would be great
3, Finaly, if you could run through what I need to do, say similar to 'save as jpeg, any file name etc, then include the html code that would be required to display the thumbnail and also link to the larger image when you click on the thumb.
Many Thanks for your time. I'm working my way through an online step by step guide, and when I've tried this part (very carefully it does not work, all I got at first was a blank page, then on the next effort got an empty white box with a red cross in the corner, but no photo ???!!!?
