Agreed, Though if someone truly wants to scrape or rip a design, they can do it with a water mark as well.
I just hate having to devalue the essence of a design with a watermark.
At any rate, it happens every once in a while to all designers. The best defense is catching them with it & filing a DMCA. At that point their host & ISP are notified of the infringement filings & the person risks losing their hosting & isp service while still being required to remove said design from their site.
Some hosts & isp's will still ban the individual, seeing that aiding copyright infringement has a heavier fine & not worth the $5.00 - $35.00 per month fee the infringing client pays per month for services.
Under international treaties, the same rules apply. As you can tell, I've been through this before & all the above have happened to the infringer.
Not really a big deal, just more aggravating to have to go through all the paperwork.
