Hi Everyone,
Here is another logo I need. I need a logo for my main site located at www.atosa.org. Corporate, authoritive, subject related but friendly and SIMPLE. Please before you start this project, review what thoracic outlet syndrome is all about. Look towards large non-profits as a template as I'm open to your ideas. Use keyword for GOOGLE "American Association" , browse through the first few search page results for some ideas.

INITIAL CONCEPT FIRST THEY WE CAN WORK ON COLORS

Main text should be "American Thoracic Outlet Syndrome Association" All one line or a creative but logical pattern

Also use >>>ATOSA in there. Perhaps within icon although this is just a suggestion.

Tag line Perserverance Optimism Hope (temporary after I see how it looks on a few designs)

I'm open to all colors except for browns, greys and red(although I will consider red if it's the right shade-not bright)

Blues and purples would be nice but these are just suggestions.

I should be able to use the logo for website, print, apparel and awareness products, large conference items.

I also don't know about size. I'll have to have a logo that I can resize whenever I need too.

NO sparkling font or animation, avoid script text as well. Text should be corporate by friendly, NOTHING FANCY! and should be browser friendly of course.

I think that's about all I can think of right now.

We are creating a new site and my web developer will be checking this thread to give his thoughts as well.

PLEASE DON'T ATTEMPT TO COPY ANOTHER PERSON'S ENTRY AS I DON'T THINk THIS IS VERY FAIR TO THAT PERSON. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOUR OWN IDEAS AND THOUGHTS.

Let me see what you've got

THANKS SO MUCH TO EVERYONE AND THIS SITE! IT'S BEEN A TRUE BLESSING!

Hi Ninj!

AH not liking so much. The hands are a nice idea but they sort of give me a child-like feel when I first look at it. Not found of orange as well or the font. Where's "ATOSA"

Keep trying Thanks so much. I've been looking at some of your other logo designs and they are really great! You have talent that's for sure.

Thanks for your feedback. Yeah they do give a bit of a child look, maybe I went a bit too friendly. I'll make a new one, just tell me, do you dislike the crayon look?

I'm kind of lost about what colors you want. When making a hand, you want an ouline of the hand, without fill, right? Or do you want just a fill and/or outline? Also what colors for the two hands?

Hi Nij! Thanks for you reply.

No hands, try something else. Again I think alot of hands gives it a child-like look. I don't like this concept at all. I'm so sorry As far as colors, I'm open to anything but I would prefer to look towards the blues and purples for the icon itself but again, need to get the basic concept down and colors can be played with.

Thanks so much Nij! I'm really looking forward to seeing what you can come up with next. Your initial logo in and of itself looks good but just not what I'm looking for.

Colorless as it's a concept, you decide the colors; or keep it as it is, which I think is best.

Hey Nij, Your getting the simplicity idea. It's the standard medical sign used too often in logos. It would be interesting if you could work it out that that insignia was upper chest and arms in sort of an abstract but still looks like a 'T" fashion. You forgot the tag line. Also I really like the font you used, very professional looking but the seperation of the words need to be reworked, maybe all in one line or another creative way? I'm really really liking the professional look of this. Thanks so much for your effort Ninj!

You want me to make the medicial symbol reflect Thoracic Outlet Syndrom? Hmmm, maybe I could make make some of the symbol red? Also is TOS all on one side (right or left) or on both sides? And by putting TOS in words all in one line you want me to lower the font size but still keep it under the acronym? Just confirming.

yes on the font size . Take out the medical symbol altogther and try some reflecting TOS but also depicted the letter "T" of course. TOS can be bilateral but if you thinking that you want to depict areas of the body, stick with one side. let's see how that works. Also if you have any other totally diferent designs in mind please let me see them as well. I wouldn't mind the main text in black although not my first choice but all of it would be way to formal looking.

Sorry, but I really don't know how to represent TOS other by doing a body diagram, which doesn't depict a letter T. I think it's impossible. That medical symbol is the closest thing to what you want, unless you have other ideas.

Yes, thanks for your input. Other than the incorporation of the medical symbol I see nothing similar to the logo unless your blind altogether. Some of the sites that CH linked to also used the medical symbol, so I don't know where your getting at. But thanks for playing.

Those sites are just some examples of simplistic logos. There are thousands online. I don't think anyone is blind here!

No I can't think of anything or any other way to depict a "T" if that's what your asking. I think the medical insignia was a cool idea but it's used A LOT on line.
