Graphic Design Contests

Hey guys I've been stuck with finishing my danish auction website (Umba.dk) and I could use some help. The payment (150$) will be delivered using PayPal and the winner will be notified.

The website is a 100% free auction website without ads. People can buy frontpage space (Featured Auctions), Category Featured Auctions, SMS Warnings, IM Warnings and so on. The primary user is not gonna pay anything to buy/sell his/her auctions.

1) I need a graphical finish that will make my website and logo irresistible. The logo has to be simple and within 30-45px high.

2) The right box need some content. I'm not really sure what would fit into this box, but feel free to give it your touch. The text can be written in English at first and later we will find a good translation to danish.

3) The box at the bottom can be used for either explaining the website or more likely... An box containing the Newest, Most Popular, most viewed auctions.
This box will probobly work using AJAX, facebook like maybe?

okay so, do we add on to the that image you provided us with, or are we to use that as a reference?

Also, I noticed that you wanted the logo 30-45px. Does this mean that We'll have to keep the same "umba" logo on your included page, and somply add a small graphic to it?

1) Yes you are allowed to add on the image I provided, actually this is what I wanted at the first place, but if you want to start from a fresh then do so

2) The Umba logo was just an example and should not be used. Find your own way to make the logo fit into the rest of the template.

PS. The width of the screenshot is the desired width, but as anything else in this project your allowed to choose a different.

Hi...guys, hope u won't be dissapointed after all the changes and hardwork you have done and u will.... someone will pop-up here... and will post 3-4 pages of his samples (as what he have done on the other thread)... and apply all the revisions u made.... in the end he just get all over you... 'coz he has a team... he also offers the coding for free.... this is just a caution... goodluck!

Note: at least he should join, at the very beginning of this contest... fair to all... not waiting... to sabotage everybody.

yourmediaking there wasn`t any feedback, so you didn`t lose anything. Let`s be fair, what contest is it with 2 entries?
And don`t worry, if you want to submit another , you have plenty of time. I`m sure the CH wants to chose the best , so he will wait fo you

Sorry I was rude to you. With hindsight, I shouldnt have said that. I just think that it's fair to be beaten by any ONE designer. I know you said, you have a team for a complete job, but lets get real. If a CH wanted a complete, professional job, why not go for a design company and pay hundreds of dollars, but obviously they aren't after the best, rather a cheaper alternative. In that sense, here we just design on our own for a bit of extra $$$. That's why I think it's not really fair to be beaten by a company.

lOOL KING. About a team, i was telling that if needed development for that website, i can take care of it. Meaning CODING, scripting etc ! Not for the contest. I can`t afford to pay someone else to participate in a contest

)) I`m the designer, not anyone else. I haven`t been around for the last year because i was very busy working. Ah, and i didn`t sign up to this contest from the beginning because i just came back to contests. Not to sabotage you

Check the dates of my posts. And my iTrader ratings, see they date one year ago. Now i`m back lol.
P.S. Check my last design: the CH asked for a "Most viewed", newest, etc auctions , just like what i did on the homepage of www.worldsbestproducers.com as reference.

I get it now. Mate, don't take it too seriously (my words). You're right, not a real contest with 2 entries. I didn't mean to lash out at you like I did. Sorry.

I know its a competition, but we shouldnt be arguing.

... I've never even seen that. Other than the popular structure, I don't see the resemblance.

Edit: Hmm, taking a second look, it's rather similar. I'll fix that up. I used various tmeplate monster templates for inspiration though..

Edit 2: How's this? The reds on the navigation and products are meant to show the roll over effects.

However I still need a logo and I will start a new contest in a few mins.
