Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a second logo and a banner for my website, SportsBusinessDigest.

The winning designs must be submitted in at least .psd, .jpg., .png, .gif format, and obviously, the winning entry becomes my property. Furthermore the usual stuff applies (i.e. follow applicable copyright rules, it must be your own design etc.)

Specifically, I'm looking for a logo that is a play off of my existing logo which can be found here (http://sportsbusinessdigest.com/wp-c.../def-thumb.gif). With this logo I'm looking to keep the color scheme (or a close variation) and have the guy in the business suit throwing a football, or at least making some sort of throwing motion.

As for the banner, I'm looking for the same business guy playing various sports (golf, baseball, basketball, football, etc.) all in a banner, with the name of the site being writen somewhere in the banner as well. If possible I'd like to have the guy playing three to four sports. I had wanted to keep the banner around 468x60, but if that won't all fit, feel free to make it bigger, but as close to 468x60 as possible.

Here's my try, of course this is just the logo, but I'd appreciate it if you commented on it, and if i should design the banner in a similar style.

@ Designmeba:

I'd like to keep the design closer to the original logo, which is similar to the NBA/MLB logos, so i'd want the red and blue to be vertical, if nothing else. Also, i don't want the tie in it, so i'd need you to change the angle so you can still some how see that he's wearing a tie, or is in a business suit, or whatever. As far as the positioning of the guy though...I do like that.

Your banner is pretty decent, i'd like the players themselves to look different somehow though...and i'm not exactly sure how. The football guy in the logo and the banner looks like he's not really throwing a football, but i'm not sure how to fix the other guys. The background you have on the banner with the football drawing board stuff is pretty cool.

@Kates: Probably a little too flashy for me

@NightVision: Your logo is something that I wouldn't have expected at all, but I like it. If you get around to it, I wouldn't mind seeing a banner.

@Lucy: Your banners are great. I'd like your logo with the football throwing to be a little different by the hand area. And it doesn't look like a sports person really. But the banners are awesome.

@Design: This design for the logo is what i'm looking for. if you could just make him look more like a business guy. I picture him as a guy wearing a sweater with a button down shirt on underneath. If you had a way to put a suit on him. The way your guy is holdng the football is perfect.

@Noah & BZ: I like both of those. I'd like to see banners if possible, to help me make a final decision.

There we go, it's hard to make a businessmen from such and angle. Now I stayed mainly centered around the silhouette since that would be following the nba/etc. logos. However, to make him look more like a businessmen I could draw different items (a tie, or some other item) in different shades of light gray. However this would spoil the nba/mlb logo style.

Again, I can also make the banners.

EDT: sorry for my last post I edited the same png format so the image on my last post changed too, but never mind the image you see is the businessmen version
