Ok, yes I did draw it myself and named him smiley, not sure why but it felt natural.

PS: Woops my bad, just re-read your contest guidelines. It explicitely says you do not like cartoonish logo's. I see there are still a few days to go so I will give it another shot.

phacker - I will give you credit for a good concept, (it looks family orientated and reflects my business name.) However, I don't care for the results. It looks a bit thrown together. In my opinion, the human figure looks like a little girl and it doesn't portray a professional pet sitter image. As I stated in another post, if you are going to use a human figure, I would like it to be a representation of me. Also the tag line you used is not my tag/slogan. My tag line/slogan is: Personalized pet care at your home or mine. Thanks for the attempt thou.

katesrobyn - I must say I really appreciate the time and effort that you obviously put into the design of my logo. I have liked MUCH of your work on other logos I have seen you submit. I really appreciate you even doing a little banner for my website, but you took out the photo of my dog!

I DO really like the feeling I get from your logo; however, something about it doesn't suit me. I think the lady looks a bit like a mermaid. Also the title is hard to read, especially from far away (as this logo will be on magnets on my car.) I would really like to see the slogan in there as well. I wasn't sure at first if the slogan would make the logo too busy but I have seen other people do it, and I think it still looks good. Also I don't really care for the animals in the gray color, they are kind of hard to see. Again I REALLY appreciate the work you put into this, I can tell you gave it a lot of thought. If you haven't already, can you maybe read through the other opinions I gave on other designers logos, and maybe that can give you an idea of how to better design this logo, or make a new one. Thanks again katesrobyn, I look forward to seeing more from you. PS: Although squirrels are animals, they are not really pets, so I would remove him. But I really LOVE that dog image, it looks like my dog! :-)

I have been collecting, as well as making, Photoshop brushes and custom shapes for the last three years. Silhouettes can be made from any good picture, you just need a good clean outline, you can then export from Photoshop to Illustrator

LucyChase - Thank you for the revisions I asked for. I am sorry to be a pain but once the horse was gone, I was not as happy with the logo. I like your FIRST globe the best I just do NOT like that blue sky. I like the amount of animals and thier placements better than in the revised. Hmm I was thinking maybe instead of the blue sky, you could just do the whole sky in black and then white reverse all the animals and the business name? Leave in the green boarder on top and the green grass on bottom so that there is still some color in the logo. I like the new slogan font much better but it looks a tad stretched. Leave the slogan in black text on a white background, but maybe you could add a little green boarder under the slogan to match the little green boarder on top. Sorry to be asking you to do so many changes but at the moment your design is my favorite, we just need to tweak it. I am not sure if I like the new textured grass or not, it will depend on how the black sky looks with the white animals. Maybe you could do one logo with textured grass and one without? I would love to see these revisions. In addition, if you have any other ideas concerning what we could do about the blue sky I would love to see what else you think. Maybe something you think of, will look better than my black and white reversed animals idea. Thanks again LucyChase, your designs are really good.

katesrobyn - Hello again. Your designs are definetly thought out and very professional looking. But I am really sorry to turn you down again, but this new design is really really busy. There is way too much going on for me. The font is graffiti looking and that doesn't fit me. The girl looks like she has high heal shoes on. The whole logo feels very city-like to me and not very nature like.

I have seen much of your work and I have liked a lot of it. I saw you submit this design on another post and I like the feeling I get from it. I like the simplicity of it with a few pets. But I don't like that particular cat image, he looks like a skunk with that bushy tail.

I like the idea that the name is in mutlicolors to match the logo although that might be hard to read from far away. I like to capitalize my name like this: Pets Are My Family. The green is a little bright, and I am not sure about the paw, I like it, but not sure it fits there. Well I wasn't much help with what changes to make but you see that I like that logo the best that you have done and it wasn't even for me.

Maybe you can get an idea for another logo based on me liking that one more than the other 2 you submitted.

I really like logos that use reverse imagery like the dog cat photo I attached. Maybe you could re-work a logo with that? If you are done with logos for me, then I understand and I want to thank you and I am sorry I am so picky.
