Graphic Design Contests

Hi all, I've entered plenty of these contests but never actually set one myself, I require a logo for a community radio station I am proposing for a town in Northern Ireland - The station name is 'Lisburn FM'.

I have no set image in my mind of how the logo should look, however, it should work well on all kinds of branding - website - posters - popup stands - backdrops etc. It should look modern, web2.0 and fresh, please submit no entries with clipart / stock images. the entire image should be vector.

Just be creative, I will seriously consider all good entries and put them forward to my 'judges' to vote for the favourite.

Hi Guys, thanks for the entries so far, iTrungs, that's a very high quality logo and good work, however, I think I'm looking for something a little more corporate branded, I know I was vague initially, I'm no branding expert, have a look at these station logos to see what I mean, I want it to be simple and effective, memorable.

The radio station is based in an area known as 'lagan valley' if we could incorporate a valley of water to some extent into it perhaps?

I'm sorry, I know I'm being vague!!

Mr Nova : Really good attempt, you're on the mark with the oval, It doesn't scream modern to me however, sorry!

Hi Guys,
thanks for the new entries, I'll make a comment on each one so far:

universifier - This is a good attempt but not really what I'm looking for, It has to say showbiz / entertaining, it looks a lot like an 'informative' radio station logo. But thanks for entering!

twistedpiston - Same as above, it's not really saying showbiz to me, again really nice attempt though, all great designs just not what I need so far.

Cardo - Probably my 2nd favorite so far, I like how you listened to the need for the logo to be equal on all sides, I would note that the station name is Lisburn FM however and the capitalization is very important. I think the first is def better than the 2nd.

Cambridge - very good try, it's almost too professional however, and too tall, it needs to fit into a website as well as neatly in advertising, you're on the right track though.

itrungs - This is without a doubt my favourite so far and the most on track, could you try making the FM larger and removing the thunderbolts?

All really good entries so far guys, sorry if I'm being overly critical, If it get's to the point where I'm too much of a pain in the ***, let me know!

Hi all, thanks for the new entries once again!

itrungs - Really getting there, can you drop the 'radio' alltogether though and just make the FM bigger?

universifier - I love this attempt, not too keen on the colors however, can you try building some kind of 'valley' icon into the space where the musical note is and play around with those colors to bring it more web 2.0?

Hylith - Thanks for your entries, I'm sorry but not what I'm looking for at this point, good attempt though

Actually, the black one with the four yellow stars is the favourite with everyone else so far, sorry I didn't mention it last time, you could make Lisburn FM the top line (with the capitalization) then try to fit in the frequency, (not sure what this will be just yet but put in 106.2FM.
