1. Hah, I am guessing this tooth lives in the nursing home. Good job if that's the effect you are trying to create. However, don't forget it sort of represent the hygienist herself.
2. Also not sure about this typeface, too unprofessional and packed.
3. Too many colors used.
Overall, I can't see it fitting the template too well, sorry. Another try?

Robert, you might have picked up the wrong colors? I think you took the color from TemplateMonster's site, not the template itself that's embedded in that page (White Pearl, with the lady holding an apple). Try 113R, 36G, 21B.

Kate, I just talked to the boss. She likes yours. Please make the following adjustment.
1. Turn the tooth to the right so that she is not facing straight at the viewer.
2. Add a cape to the tooth.
3. Have one version without the ring, specifically for web banner use.
Thanks.

Sorry Josh, I think it's not just the typeface, but the theme just doesn't fit the website's template.

Wow!! Exceeded expectation! Way to go Kate!
1. Try moving the eye balls to face the viewer.
2. Her right arm is out of place, please move it toward her front, maybe place it where her right ear would be.
3. Her right hand, since not holding anything, looks awkward. Reminds me of I Robot. Can you do something about it? Maybe wave at the viewer while looking at the viewer?
4. Right foot (the trailing one) lost its 3-dimension-ness, can you fix it?
5. What's the cross on the cape?
6. Like the line you added to the name, assuming you will use the correct name in the final product.
ok I like it very much. Let's see what the owner says.
Thanks!

Here's another revision. Took Tim's advice and tried to tighten it up, the name of the company seems fade in comparison in other designs, so I tried to make it more of an active part of the logo.
Did this by moving the tooth closer, changing the outline from black to grey on most parts and removing the star from the brush and putting it on the text.

Kate, Totally above my expectations, love it. The colour combo is perfect, has a feminine hygiene touch to it. I do agree with YK's comment.
*The right arm looks awkward, and the trailing leg.
*waiving hand is a good suggestion or you could have it in a fist form almost like superman fist pose just before he takes off to the rescue.
Thank you soooo much for putting the effort and time. Yvonne.

JG Graphics, Good work. I like how the way the rollerskates look. two changes I'd like to suggest is the toothbrush be upright position and more serious look on his face. Thanks for taking the time.

Hylith, Great job! I love the reflection idea on the company name. That is very creative. I also like the repetition of the star on the tooth as well as on the letter "e".
However, the toothbrush is in an awkward position. Could you place the toothbrush on the right hand as if it's in action to clean the word ultra?
Also have the right foot turn slightly almost parallel to the left foot. I do rollerskate and from my experience it's not a comfortable standing position. Hehe. Keep up the good work. Thank you for you time. Yvonne.

Kate, one more thing to add, if you could place the white spark at the other corner of the mouth it would be more visible. Yvonne.

Here's my revisions... with a little joke to boot =P
I just had an idea where you could make little comics with your logo character and place it in retirement homes for your customers to look at. Everyone loves comics, it would be cheap and I am sure the senior citizens may appreciate a laugh or two. It was just an idea, to make your logo char more than just a logo, you would have a mascot! Just an idea =D

The cross on the cape, signs "health cure" like "red cross". Hope it makes sense. I will take it off, if you don't like. Thanks. Hoping you also reward for 2nd price.

Kate and Robert,
I am beginning to think we got off on the wrong foot with this contest... I think we ended up creating a mascot for Yvonne, and both mascots are undoubtedly wonderful. She should order some soft toys based on these mascots to promote her business!
I spoke with Yvonne, she is beginning to realize the downside with Kate's design in terms of printing. I know our feedbacks made it so overwhemingly complex, so it's not your fault Kate.
Here are my suggestions.
Option A: Simplify and/or flatten both mascots, especially Kate's, so that the lines are cleaner and the mascots look more like logos. I know this may be challenging now that we have gone so far.
Option B: Let the mascots be mascots, create a simple logo (style up to you). Perhaps show "Ultra-Gentle", don't fit the entire name into it, it will be too busy. Other variations - UG, UGHC... or something, surprise us.
We understand if you feel frustrated at this point in time since we have gone so far. The truth is, we were very distracted by the two cute mascots that we focused all our energy on fixing little things here and there with the mascots, not realizing that we were steering you down the wrong path.
Let me have your thoughts, whether you think it's ok to pursue either Option A or B. Basically, had we not mentioned the tooth on rollers holding a toothbrush, how would you have designed the logo?
Feel free to PM me if you feel like flaming.
