The website you give as your example has to be the most irritating one I have ever visited. I've never had to wait so long to see something.
Yes it is visually impressive , but what purpose does it serve , in internet terms ? Yes , it would look good as a software introduction , DVD menu , animation or even a piece of art work , but I can't think of one thing that that would help advertise on any website.
I'm not a massive fan of Flash anyway , but I'd look for something a little less complex than that !
