unfortunately my Photoshop abilities are poor therefore it took me some time to come up with something I have in mind regarding numbers:

Hello,

thanks for your effort. Yet I prefer the previous one over this because all the ornamentation is distracting for the eye.

Still wonder why nobody came up with contrasting colors so far.

Hey,

I started by making a corner house, depicting number one on a street, contrasting colours etc, which is included above the logo design I wish to submit. Following on from this idea, the centre logo is my final mock, with a blue/orange colour scheme. Feedback appreciated.

Actually I like this one very much. The contrast is good and I like the smooth edges of the type which I find very appealing to the eye. If the 1 and its outline could have similar round edges all around it similar to that on top it might be perfect. I am also thinking of another blue line next to the orange one at the bottom to still increase the resemblance of a street sign but it might be slightly overdone then. Anyway, my current favorite.

Hi 1Host,

Below is another with revisions. Tightened up the '1', made the outline neater and uniform, increased the curvature on the outline and the '1', tweaked the perspective a little, and added the blue line in at the bottom.

I'm happy to provide more revisions/changes as needed.

I like it very much. There are just some details: the right bottom of the 1 connecting to the line seems a bit "bloated"; the left lower bottom could probably use more softening still to mirror the edge above; the outline around the "nose" of the 1 (here-->1) should rather not be so sharp. As to the perspective, would it be possible to give the impression that the backline of the 1(<--this line) somehow reaches around the edge into the sign? I hope it is clear what I'm meaning by all this

. Would be great if you could give it an extra try.

Hi 1Host,

I've made the changes you requested. With the making the 1 extend round the corner a little, I don't think the concepts I've provided have worked terribly well. I haven't had time to put in a real effort to make it work - I imagine that adding the righthand part of the bottom serif would make the 1 clearer - but then we lose the impression of a street corner.

I'd be happy to make more revisions during/post contest.

Hello,

I am very happy to declare Armanno the winner.

Nevertheless I would like to thank everybody taking part in this contest for their input and I especially appreciate the efforts of those that have submitted several revisions to their original designs. You have shown great creativity and I'm sure you will fare well on different occasions.

I would also like to thank webmaster-talk for providing this platform.
