Hello,

I need a logo for the site 1HostStreet.com, preferably typographic but I am open to any kind of creative input. There should be a differentiation in colors between Host/Street based on the existing blue color of the design and/or some good contrast. I'd like to have special emphasize on the 1, either in line with the letters or somehow superseded or arranged elsewhere. Should also be usable as icon.

Tagline: Home to your hosting desires.

Should be usable for business cards too.

Could you give me a little more information on the style of the logo? Simple, classy, web 2.0 looking, 3D or flat? Any special preference to any of these styles?

Simple is good, but not simplistic or unimaginative. Not quite as plain and bland as the current site design as this might also be adapted soon. Otherwise I have no special preferences.

Hi,

that's what I'm already having and it's just too simple for my taste. When the 1 is separated from the rest it needs more visual appeal than just a bigger font or some decoration. I thought the examples showed what I meant by this (doesn't mean it has to be the same).

I have received another suggestion privately and this lead me to remark that an all-capitals design is not quite ideal typographically, especially when the main visual focus is on the letters. That means also, when the 1 is more of an eyecatcher the rest becomes less important.

Here are my submissions, tried to make all elements tie in equally and not focus on the "1", as you asked. I hope you like the design, as I was pleased with the result. I believe the eye is drawn entirely to the center.

I added a much smaller example as well to show you that there is no problem at a much smaller size. Fully vectored of course.

I'm overwhelmed by your efforts and I can foresee having a hard time on picking a winner. Here is my feedback on the latest suggestions.

I like it but the representation of the 1 reminds me too much of the Reichsadler to consider it and I'd prefer the edges of the characters smoother to differentiate them the normal text (see over here, for example: http://www.cyclingnews.com/)

The same goes here for the smooth edges of the characters. I find this a big approach to what I want. Only the 1 should be bolder and somehow "blurred" just as the halo around it. Both might rather look like painted with a brush as I feel s that's a good counterpoint to the more formal type style.

Very imaginative and kind of (positive) surprise.Yet I am in two minds about it. If I were to go with this design the "bleeding" out of the circle had to be shorter (like for the last turn) or it had to go altogether and it needed more contrast.

Thank you for your feedback it has guided me to an upgraded design.
I focused on keeping the logo simple, memorable, easy to describe yet striking. I hope you agree.

It looks like some great talent in here. Always a pleasure to compete against such pros!
