Graphic Design Contests

Spring is approaching and we thought it would make for a good logo theme.

Those of you who entered the Thanksgiving and Christmas contest know the drill by now. For everyone else simply design a new logo for WT. It's up to you what the logo will look like, but you do have to match the blue in the header and keep it somehow related to Spring.

The rest is up to you.

Post your entries here. I'm leaving the contest open until March 15th to give everyone a little extra time. At that point we'll take what we have and put the entries up for a vote.

Thanks for everyone who submitted entries in the past and thanks in advance for submitting an entry this time around.

Also if you have some thoughts for future holidays or themes where a new logo might be appropriate leave a comment.

Where can i find the "Font" that is used on the current logo?

I believe it will be located in the footer on the home page for a month.

I'm not really sure what the font is, but it's ok if you don't match it. It's more the background color we need to keep so it looks consistent with the rest of the header. I think if you grab the image and send it to What the Font they can find the closest match.

Would it not make more sense to convert the banner/header to vector and leave the file for download, so we will draw our logo's on top of the banner/header it-self, it would most certainly make the "keep the background similar" confusion much easier and also it would look nicer, because the current one that's up there looks little out of place, under close inspection, the top shadow is missing , as well as the outline being different , it wouldn't take much time, I mean I could do it for you guys, not much problem there ;P.

Matthew that makes a lot of sense. I'll ask those with a little more access to things than me if there's currently a vector image or at the least a layered PSD. Something tells me there isn't going to be one, in which case I'll also mention your offer to create one. I assume it would be helpful if we gave you the original logo. I'm guessing, but I think a .jpg is all we'll find. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Keep all the logos coming everyone. They're all looking good so far.

Edit: I asked the powers that be about what images we have for the banner and logo and I'll let you know once I hear back.

You have to give it a shot if you want to succeed. Your logo definitely reminds me of spring.

A little less than 2 weeks for entires. Keep them coming.
