Hi all,

We are back again with this new design contest - we know you guys can come up with the goods so give it your best shot - you have two weeks to complete.

We are looking for a great logo design for the name:-

Jobmate Tweets

Curently we have a website www.jobmate.co.uk which is in re-design but the current logo remains. The logo is the name jobmate with a pin in a target as shown on the website. This logo is to remain as it is.

We are now working on a Twitter feed service for this brand called Jobmate Tweets and need a logo design for this service. Its a service where we help clients post tweets onto twitter using twitters open api.

Ideally it would be the existing jobmate logo but with the Tweets bit added / incorporated into it.

Because its a twitter service, a variation of the twitter bird could also be included? or it could be kept clean - dont really mind. All design ideas considered.

The main thing is that it must be professional looking.

Size is not a major issue but marketing would include the logo in 120x60 size hence it must be scalable to look good in this size.

Whats also important is that viewers will instantly be able to tell its a twitter tweet posting service from jobmate.

A few of us will judge all entries and decide the winner - easy $100 cash up for grabs.

I wanted to stick with the existing logo as much as possible so that it's easy to associate the two with one another but just went with a twitter bird instead of the pin. I'm also thinking that the word tweets might look better in red to compliment the bird itself and maybe put it at a slight angle. Angled text isn't everyone's cup of tea so I left it for the time being.

I dont normally comment at the start but i have to say that I like that idea of the bird rather than the pin - great idea, good start, im sure my collegues would like that also and red could work well (not sure) for the tweets bit.
You have the making of a very nice design idea.

Thanks very much for the feedback. Here is the logo with the red text. I tried putting the text at an angle because it's a good method for telling the audience "Same company but with a twist" but in this case I don't think it worked too effectively, I'd be happy to post it if you're interested in seeing it though.

Some good entries so far but can i just remind designers of the existing logo in use for JobMate - This new service logo MUST look like it is part of the existing brand. Ideally it should be the existing JobMate logo with the Tweets bit incorporated into it The pin is not required but the letters are.

The entry from bakerbaker1 reflects what we are looking for so far - i,e it remains true to the JobMate letters and incorporates the Tweets wording and a twitter bird into the design - Its this kind of design we are looking for. Do not change the lettering.

Clients looking at the logo need to see its a Tweet service offered by JobMate - Hope this update helps - thanks

That's why I made sure mine was royalty free and created it myself... Gotta be careful with logos.

The link website says "All these are 100% Free to download, and for blog use"... so therefore, there's no problem, as long as you don't claim the "twitter.com is yours".
It's just an add on to your logo, which is free to use.

The design rules says that u need to make comercial logos and other stuff from scratch not to use others works and get payed for it.

That's for amateurs or ppl who can't afford to pay designers.

@abdou: yeah, I agree. But it depends on the CH if he wants a twitter bird which is free to use, but the thing here, is that.. what he's paying, is the concept... on how their 'LOGO' would blend into social twitter. The LOGO is already been there... it's just a need of tweaks or add-on. Whether it's your original bird or "free tweeter birds".... as long as the designer's don't break the copyrights.
