OK, let's try this again! I don't know why the last thread was closed, as I see that all the other postings mention what website/company they are for, but maybe I put an extra link or something and didn't realize it. My apologies if I put this in incorrectly, as I was doing my best to follow the exact rules.

So let me make this clear upfront, YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE HOLLYWOOD 27 WEBSITE FOR ANYMORE CONTEST DETAILS. THE EXACT SAME INFORMATION IS POSTED IN THIS THREAD. You can visit our website if you want to learn more about the company so you feel 100% comfortable entering the contest, but everything you need to enter is below.

CONTEST INFORMATION:
We are re-designing our company website to help handle the multiple projects currently underway at Hollywood 27. To kick off the new design, we're searching for a brand new, original logo that we will use on our website, stationary, merchandise, etc.

Just submit your original logo idea, the sky's the limit, but make sure the logo is either for HOLLYWOOD 27, or HOLLYWOOD 27 PRODUCTIONS. Specifically, we want the company name as part of the logo somehow, although it can be above, below, off to the side, etc. You can see our current logo at the bottom of this page for an example, but again, we're really looking to change that up!

Winner receives $100, and will be credited on our homepage as the logo designer as long as the logo is in use!

LOGO CONTEST TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Contest will close at 5pm Pacific Time on March 19, 2010, and the winner will be announced on Hollywood27.com website no late than 5pm Pacific Time on March 26, 2010.
Winner will be paid $100. Once the logo is put into use on the company website, winner will be credited on the Hollywood27.com homepage as the Hollywood 27 logo designer, for as long as the logo is in use.
In the unlikely event that no logo received is accepted as the new company logo, the $100 will not be awarded, and the contest may then either be completed as such, or restarted.
By submitting to this contest, you (DESIGNER) warrant that all designs are original works and to the best of DESIGNER'S knowledge do not infringe on the rights of any third party. DESIGNER agrees to indemnify HOLLYWOOD 27 PRODUCTIONS against any claims in respect of the above warranties.
DESIGNER expressly acknowledges and agrees that the results and proceeds of DESIGNER'S services hereunder and any and all material, concepts, ideas, copy, sketches, art- work, electronic files and other materials related to, prepared, and submitted by DESIGNER in connection with the LOGO, or its preparation (collectively, the Material), shall be considered a "Work Made For Hire" as defined by the copyright laws of the United States and automatically become the exclusive property of HOLLYWOOD 27 PRODUCTIONS.
In the event DESIGNER'S services hereunder, for any reason, are deemed not to be a "Work Made For Hire" under the United States Copyright law, DESIGNER acknowledges and agrees that DESIGNER hereby irrevocably grants, sets over and assigns to HOLLYWOOD 27 PRODUCTIONS throughout the universe, exclusively and in perpetuity, free and clear of any and all claims, liens and encumbrances, all right, title and interest of every kind whatsoever, whether now known or unknown, in and to the Material and all other results and proceeds of DESIGNER'S services hereunder.

Had you read your original thread you would see why the moderator closed it. Had you actually read the rules as carefully as you claim, you'd realize that any contest held here has to be held on site, ie, not via email, either.

If those conditions don't suit you, feel free to send a message to a moderator, who will close the thread. Had you contacted one of us with your questions to begin with, you might have saved yourself and us some trouble.

uhmm, the prize delivable is in cheque?.... i think the best and convenient for payment is via PAYPAL (paypal.com), as all designers have it... and cheques won't work in some countries in the designer's location.

Hi, sorry folks, Chris cleared up what was intended by the language in the Forum Rules for contests. "The idea for the contest to be exclusive to this forum".

I have a degree in Rhetoric, LOL, so yes, serandfae, I read the rules very carefully, and I took that rule exactly as written: "Do not post a link to another forum or a site for the contest details. All details have to be furnished on WT"

Wasn't trying to offend anyone, very sorry if I did! I run a film company to help make the world a better place, so I wouldn't do that on purpose!

Chris, hopefully you tweak that part of the rules to echo what you said. And thanks so much for clearing it up. If you need to delete the thread I understand. If after March 19th we don't have a winner, I will post the contest exclusively here, as it seems like there is some pretty awesome work being done here, and honestly the forum itself is enormous! The time I spent putting in my 1st 20 posts was very enjoyable, so I'll be on the forum regularly now regardless.

katesrobyn, I will be making 2 new distinctions to the Contest Rules:
1. PayPal will be the form of payment for International entries.
2. The prize amount is $100USD.

Wow, Rob, great take on the company mission, really appreciated your comments! That's a great logo too. I love it. The only thing that leaps out at me as a bit off is the style of the 27, I like the sharpness you're going for, but the kind of "damaged" look to the numbers (I was guessing you were looking for something a bit urban perhaps) gives me kind of a foreboding or haunted vibe almost. And that's all I can say, it's great! Looking forward to your submission.

I am already excited to see the kind of work you all put up here! We're going to need a DVD cover designed in a few months, so I'm thinking of putting that up here exclusively as we get closer to the time, and I'll make sure the Award $$ is greater -- I'm just really impressed w/the work done on this forum after browsing around the last few days!

Thanks for you feedback. I will submit some variations with different font numbers. I just felt like your website gave a sort of haunting, serious undertone, Halloween colors, movies dealing with serious issues. I think it's good to invoke an emotion, makes it more memorable.

Hi all, wanted to check in with a few quick comments on the submissions. Hopefully they make sense, as I've been working since 9am and it's been a looong day, but I wanted to make sure I checked in.

DesignJoe, very slick, love the HOLLYWOOD. I would definitely like to see "twenty-seven" as the actual number though, the "27". I didn't realize I had a preference on that until seeing it spelled out, so gotta thank you for that, now I can let that be known.

RobK... outstanding!

Hazard, the color scheme has me stuck in Christmas mode when I look at it, so I'd suggest going in a different direction color-wise, but the design itself is very cool.

katesrobyn, LOVE the Hollywood, LOVE the spotlight circle... the 27 part throws me though. We definitely need the 27 to be more pronounced than that, I think the 27's size and the kind of "party" feel to it are holding it back, if that makes sense?

Kate u should consider doing freelance work on a freelance site.
You will make tons more cash than just waiting for someone to choose ur design in a competition.
