Graphic Design Contests

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for 3 hosting feature boxes. All of them need to be the same design but have different colors so really I'm only after 1 design.

I'm offering $30 to the winner and this should be very easy for a tallented designer. I've set the end date to 20/12/2010 but will end it earlier if needed.

Here is an example from pacifichost:

I'm looking for a unique design such as above but I really like the 3 features/price and software box from above. You may wish to take a look at our site to get an idea for style/design.

Overall I like it, would you be able to make the following changes?

- you can remove the learn more button because these will be displayed on the hosting info page anyway.

- can you replace the server image with a e book/program box? I want to get across the point we sell a package/plan for building a website rather than space on a server (granted, it is effectively space on a server but added to the software it's a complete package). This may be of some use:

Don't worry about adding anything to the actual box as I'll do that myself.

- Lastly I'm not too fond of the black circle behind the price. Can you do anything with that?

I'd love to see a couple more entries to get a different perspective but like many of my contests they never last very long

btw is it a problem if i do this in fireworks? i can save it as psd but some things don't translate... i can flatten background and boxes and leave text editable but if this is going to be a problem i might as well stop now before i waste any more time. seeing as i now have to draw a box...

You're free to use Fireworks. Honestly, I will be adding the plan name, list text and button as HTML so as long as I can edit the price that's not a problem. You could even leave the price space blank if needs be. If you leave the software box blank that will be perfect as I'll go in and add some stuff myself.

Here is my entry. Can change every aspect of the design (font, colors of each part) and it is 100% vectored. No imported images. I can do all three for you for an additional $10.00 each if you like. Background slightly different in each.

Rob - Your designs are very nice and have a clean look to them but they are missing the all important software box

Dave - That's much better. Can you explain to be which sections I will/won't be able to edit if it's converted to PSD format?

i had to import the box and the dark blue background (at the bottom) separately as png-32 but otherwise it worked ok. obvisouly text is all editable.

Obviously if i win i will give you a fireworks and ps versio, so they look the same.

I certainly think a light green (#99da1c) will be nice and perhaps red (#ff0000). My only worry with red is if the orange box will still look good. If it does then that's the perfect 2 colors.

Thanks very much for that! There's just 1 tiny thing. The green background behind the price is much lighter in comparison to the rest of the design. Would you be able to make it darker as you have with the red and blue? At the moment it stands out a bit too much.
