Hi Everyone,

I am looking to get a personal blog logo made up. The website is cbeaudin.com (there is nothing on this website yet).

I would like something inspired by the elements Earth or Water. This doesnt mean the logo has to look like earth or water (for example a green logo with a leaf popping out is inspired by earth). Hope that makes sense, please ask for clarification if it doesn't.

The color scheme will depend on the element you pick, water would most likely use shades of blue for example.

There arent any specific images that i would like to see with the logo. I would like to see something with simple creative typography.

Thanks for your entry, out of the two, i like the top one better. I am not a big fan of the font used. Maybe also try a smaller leaf.

Also to clarify, the logo should be based on either earth or water but not both. I don't prefer one over the other so whatever comes naturally.

Hi everyone, sorry for the slow response, I'm having some computer and time issues at the moment, Ill try to post some feedback in the next 2-3 hours.

katesrobyn: I really like your design, you are defiantly on the right path. I would like to see “.com” incorporated in there somewhere (without tacking it on the end). For colors, I like the all blue one (second one) and I also like the green leaf in 3 + 4. Also, it may look like too much but I’m curious to see how it would look if the dot for the “i” was a small leaf.

magnacrest : I really like your design as well. I would like to see the “.com” a little smaller (specifically the dot). I do like the placement of the “.com”, very creative. I would also like to see slightly calmer waves in the “b” and “d” if possible. Could you throw a sample on a light background as well, just so I can get a feel of what it will look like with a darker upper half.

TheTrapper : Thank you for your entries, not really what I am looking for. Simple 2D design is sufficient (without bevel or shadows). I am also not a fan of those fonts, I prefer something cleaner (business style). Please see examples.

juliahearts: Not bad, I like the leaf on the right and the general color scheme. I find the stroke and shadow are a little heavy for that particular font. I am looking for something with a little more play on the letters.

Hello,

Back after a long break and decided to throw my concepts into the mix.

Trying to go for the clean, pristine look and feel. Used blues and greens to try and make it pop and get the "Water & Earth" feel.

nguyen_huy_hai: Thanks for your entry, you have the right mindset with the play on letters. When i first looked at the "a" it looked like a padlock with a branch inside. It took me a minute to realize the bottom part was a leaf. Not sure if its just me that saw that. I'm also not quite sure how to fix it.

jimmymav: Thanks for your entry, I'm looking for something a little more unique (especially when it comes to lettering/font)

RobK: I originally was against mixing earth and water together however you pulled it off nicely. I like the font/lettering you used here and thank you for the samples on multiple backgrounds. I would like to see ".com" incorperated in there somewhere if possible. I'm also having mixed feelings about the "n", I know it is proportional to the rest of the letters but it looks smaller than the rest to me for some reason. I will get a second opinion on that and let you know.
