Graphic Design Contests

I have been thinking about sprucing up our header over at www.thegaffer.com and came across a thread from Padawan, who decided to run a small competition and thought it was a great idea.

I hope he does not mind if I 'borrow' his idea

If you look at the site at the moment you will see that it is a simple 468x60 banner with an ad to the right. I basically would like a banner to replace these two. It will obviously have a sports theme.

The banner can be flash or static - your choice.

If anyone is interested, I will also pay $15 via PayPal to the best design.

Since your site layout is really clean and simple, I thought I would first show you how a really clean and simple banner would look on your site.

Please tell me if you would like a more advanced banner. I just think that an advanced banner with a simple layout will definitely clash and not look too good. But anyway, here's the link and let me know:

A few things:

First, Gaffer, refresh my link above to see it without the footballs/soccer balls as the "o"'s.

Also, timedout, I dont appreciate you stealing the footballs/soccer balls that I used on my banner without asking me for permission. Please remove then immediately.

I only posted this as a joke as im an Admin on The Gaffer,
and steve wont let me near any of the graphics

Im sure my creation will be far suppased in a matter of mins

Hi Duckz,

Let's say the deadline is 20-03-05 with the best design being chosen on 21-03-05. There are no limit on submissions, so if you feel you can better a previous design of yours, feel free to post it and all them will be looked at.
