Graphic Design Contests

Hi all,

Its time for another logo design contest. Here are the details:

1) The Website
http://www.sleep-sacks.com
This website will cater to the demands of student and budget travellers worldwide. We specialize in quality handmade sleep sacks. Sleep sacks protect budget travellers from bed bugs or dirty hostel beds in general. We will also be selling quick drying towels and other travel gear but the logo needs to be geared towards sleep sacks.

2) The Logo
Size needs to be no bigger than 240 wide by 90 high.
I am wide open for colors. I have not yet decided on a color scheme so I am going to build the site around the logo. The colors need to fun and catchy as we are targeting the 18-25 range market but it also needs to be clean and professional as we are actually an online shop.

3) The Prize
I dont have a big budget so I'll throw in $10.00 via Paypal, a premium link in any category at http://www.directory-z.com and a home page link at sleep-sacks.com when complete. The homepage link and directory link are good for 6 months. After the 6 months I will move the links to a regular listing and it will remain there for life.

4) Deadline
I need this logo by 5:00 pm pacific time on 05-11-05 so I will make a final decision at that time.

Hmm any examples/pictures of what a sleeping sack looks like exactly? (Is it like a sleeping bag? haha sorry, I'm bad with terms).

Haha! I know! I was thinking the same thing! I assume it is a sleeping bag. I think it is interesting how people who speak the same language but live in different areas of the world use different terms. On that other contest, I thought everyone was spelling "hotel" wrong. I was like "what the heck is a hostel?" lol!

Anyway, I appologize for going off subject, but I just think that is interesting. I will try to work on a logo soon. I appreciate all the contests you hold zman!

Very nice Fed, very nice.

Here is an example of what a sleep sack is:

Scroll down and you will see it. Basically it is a sheet folded in half and sewn together like a sleeping bag. Hostels in Europe require them in most cases.

Vicki, you always know how to get my attention. That is almost PERFECT! One question, is it possible to make the inside of th sleep sack a bit darker. Just a tad and I think it will be very obvious what it is.

Well the contest is still open. I want to be fair and give anyone else a chance. The last time I closed one early all **** broke loose. You never know, someone may come along and drop a design that works even better.

i probably won't win but i had a few extra minutes on my hands.

there are two slight differences between the two....
1. Texts are slightly different styles
2. The ".com" color changed

Oh man, I thought this would be easy but spud you have me thinking again. Dot the design is VERY nice, I really like the first one but I am after something a bit different. Spud actually hit it pretty good on the design thanks to the sleeping back but it may be a bit big.

*sigh*

I'll have to ask the wife on this one.
