Hi. I'm about to start a forum for my graphics site and I'm not experienced at all with PHP or PHPbb (I do all my work with HTML), so I've come here to request for help. Since I have no money to offer I hope that someone can do this for free. The forum is being hosted on someone else's domain and as I logged onto my account, I don't know what to change or do. I would ask my hostess to help me but she's out on vacation for a while. I was hoping someone could please set up the forum for me.

As for the requirements:

I wanted the forum to look like this template:

but with this color scheme (I colorized it in Photoshop so the catagory headers are gradient but I put a note on what color I want it to be. I also edited the image out in Photoshop to show how the forum will look like in the end): http://visual-nightmare.com/index/colorscheme.jpg

That's the board on my domain, but since this forum that I want done is hosted on someone else I just made that to show what the forum catagories have to say.

It would be really great if someone could please make it for me and e-mail me the files so I can upload them to my account. Thanks to anyone who's is willing to help!

You need to download the template from the site, unzip it and upload all the files onto your server in the phpBB "templates" directory.

That will need to be done via a mixture of editing the css stylesheet and using an image editing program for certain the images. This would have to be completed once the forum is installed.

The packs need to be unzipped and added to the relevant folders in the forum directory [ can't remeber off hand which one that is ]. Then once uploaded they get installed via the admin panel in phpBB.

This is also done via the admin panel under the "Forum Management" category.

Can be acheived by editing the overall_header.tpl file.


It will probably require more assistance than sending a few files via email to get it sorted mind.

The only thing I know how to do well is editing the CSS. Other than that everything else confuses me. I've read and re-read tutorials but I still can't get it through. Plus, I don't have Admin Panel access since it's someone else's domain. I already know how to add forums, catagories, etc to the board by the Admin Panel but the forum isn't hosted on my domain.

I guess I'll just wait my hostess to come back from vacation so I can get her help.

If you don't have FTP access then you can't do what it is your looking to do.
