Hi guys, i made a PNG file and i like to get a Transparent background, everything worked fine with Illustrator but why is there a grey background now, in Dreamweaver it looked fine .... ????

use GIF for transparency... i dont thing PNG has transparency

hmm how can i make a GIF file with Adobe Illustrator ?

i dont use illustrator, i use photoshop, but did you try the drop down menu for save as file type?

or there might be an export as option

its not illustrator, its PNG because i tried the same thing with your logo and exported both PNG and GIF and the PNG had a blue-grey background. the GIF worked fine tho

there is a file save for web function in illustrator. you can select whether you want to save it as a gif or a png or jpg. you should probably just save it as a gif, but you can still save a transparent png. make sure you select transparency when you save the file. its also a good idea to select matte color when saving it. the matte color should usually be the color you plan on laying the image over.
