Graphic Design Contests

Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted a contest so here is my next.

I am currently updating a student travel site and need a header/banner/logo design to build the design around. I would ask that you guys/gals be creative and try and come up with something unique.

The site will cater to student travelers so it needs to be fun yet high tech to rival the competition. The site will offer rail passes, hostel booking and general backpacker information.

I would like something along the lines of the header/logo on my site from the last contest I did located here:
http://www.backpackerboat.com/

The new one will be for:
http://www.backpackearth.com

The header needs to read "Backpack Earth" and then maybe you can throw in a little ".com" if your feelin' lucky. There needs to be space for me to throw some text on top of the image for "SE" purposes. Similar to what I did with the quick keyword description on Backpackerboat.com

Colors are open but I wouldnt mind seeing a design or two with similar colors to the backpacker boat website.

I'll pay $15.00 via paypal and give a free listing on a 4/10 page at Directory-Z.com

Paulfdes, it should be Backpack Earth, not backpacker boat. I like where you went with this although it is a littl relax and more like a college header. Im looking for some adventure action.

Toolman that is going in the right direction. I like how you made the black area below because that is what I need as far as a space to throw text into the image. Im just not quite sure it reaches out the way I need it to. I'll give it some thought and get back to you.

Sizes should be about 800 X 185

Oh and one more thing, nevermind the "budget travel directory". That is what it used to be. It is no longer a directory.

toolman, is that a mother and child? The amount of black that was already there is perfect. No need to add more.

eric, Im interested. Is there a way to make that design to where a 468 standard banner slot can be fit in somewhere? I like it, but it has too much open space.

Ok all. Thanks for all the submissions so far. To be honest, Im not yet seeing anything that jumps out the way the BB Boat one does.

Somethin similar is what I am after. It is the same kind of website. Colors I am open on, but design needs to reach out and scream adventure like this one.
