I need a 5x7 postcard designed Full color on both sides to help me in a marketing program. I'm mailing 3000 to 4000 post cards per month.

Each month I would like to use a different design and message on my post card...
Here the contest for this month…

Below are the tag lines I want to use on the front and back of the postcard.

Email me at tom@demarvabb.com if you want the psd file, it's too big to upload here... I did however upload a gif.

Tag Line - Front of the postcard

“Is it time to sell your business? Put Our Expertise To Work For You!!!”

Your job is to come up with the graphic/pic for the front, incorporating my logo and the tag line.

Just a suggestion, feel free to use your own creativity – but I have used pics of “main street” with small store fronts and I have used pics of shopping centers, etc… remember no distinguishing marks or characteristics such as a McDonalds sign or a street sign, must be generic.

Tag Line and Content – Back

__________________________________________________ ___
Feel free to lay out the back in any design i.e. bulleted, not bulleted, etc… Just be sure to include the above. Using my logo on the back is optional, be creative, unique and try to help me inspire!!!

I would like to close the contest in 24 hours, this time tomorrow!

Winner selected tomorrow, pay Via Paypal or any other method then winner sends me the files for me to send to the printer.

Hope this answers your questions!

Thanks Tom!

Is this the kinda thing you were looking for?

I've put a watermark on it, obviously what won't be there if you decide to use it. Were you wanted a back to be designed too? Your instructions are rather confusing

2 thoughts,

First, your card looks really great, unfortunately the city sky line isn't generic enough, what I mean by that is anyone who looks at the pic should have no idea where it is or from, what town or street or city the pic was taken. Basically it could be anywhere in the USA... I like your concept with blending the tag line in at the bottom, I would only suggest making it stand out a little bit more. Remember this is marketing (which I'm NO expert), we want the reader to read the tag line AND enjoy the pic/card.

Second, sorry if my note was confusing, yes, please design the back of the postcard too...

Let me know if there are there anymore questions...

Good Question - Here are my printers’ requirements
- We prefer 300 DPI JPG or JPEG (CMYK) files saved with the highest quality setting (12 in Photoshop) and no compression.
- Front and Back of document should be setup as two separate pages, do not create both sides in a single file or page.
- For Postcards, a minimum of .125 (1/8") inch border containing no live area (mission critical text and graphics) MUST be allowed for cutting purposes.
- Files must be saved in CMYK format.
- All solid Black areas should be composed as a combination of Cyan 50%, Magenta 20%, Yellow 20%, and Black 100%.
- He support the following file formats: JPG, TIF, EPS (converted to curves), and a flattened PSD.

Hope this helps...

ok it's enough
the only thing I don't have really clear is the black composition but I'll try to sort it out at the moment of the finished work (if we get in business)

do you have any deadline? (I'm a little busy now)

and I'd like to know what the back should be like (white with some fields? if yes which ones? pictures even on the back? ....)

thanks and sorry if I ask so many questions but I want to have clear in mynd what I have to do before starting

The only dealine is in the contest for end of day today, but since only two of you have replied I'm inclined to extend it to end of day (EDT) tomorrow to allow you ample time.

As for examples of front and back postcards -> try this link to give you a feel for the layout - http://www.plumrivermktg.com/portfolio_post.htm

As for the back of the postcard, take a look at the content requirements I have above, other then the tag line content the rest is up to you, simple is often easier to market...

Thanks Tom

has the design to be "city themed" ?
or we can play with something far from this concept?

has the layout to be mandatory horizontal?

sorry for these questions but I'm looking for the best suiting shots....

and please send me the psd to fed AT lab91.com

thanks

I am very interested in this contest, but I would like to request that you extend the deadline until tomorrow. I wont be able to work on anything until this evening, but would like to give it a shot. I also think giving it a little extra time will allow for some more entries from other designers.

Here's a front I made, but don't have the logo PSD yet, that is why it is not on there. The building could use some texture if you want to make it look a bit more real.

This is just a gif of the PSD, the final will meet your requirements.
