Graphic Design Contests

I am holding a contest for a logo on a new forum site I am setting up at http://www.dfwforum.com/forum
(DFW stands for "Dallas-Ft Worth")

Color Scheme should fit the WindowsXP theme and match with the skin (Microsoft logo or flying windows colors)
The size should be the same as the existing logo and should be in named logo.gif for ease of integration

Also The slogan underneath the logo should read: Discussing Dallas/Ft. Worth

Just be creative, but I do not want it to be too complicated or busy

contest over by Friday 9-9-2005 at midnight (Eastern Time).

Hello! I have to admit, this was a fun logo to make

Ok so I split texas up into the MS window logo colors (creative eh), then I put 2 stars (lower one is ft worth, upper is dallas, with to talk boxes, showing people "chatting" from those places. Then I did DFW and forum, and added the slogan.

The first one below has no stroke and outer glow on the "texas" and the second does.

1- no stroke, or glow

2- stroke, w/ glow

I created 2 logo's for you, but I don't know how to actually put them within my text box like Mr. Plague did. How do I do that? I didn't want to just attach them as files.

Click on the Insert Image button Diane (two mountains and a sun), and type the URL of the images - you will have to upload them to a server somewhere - in the dialogue box that appear.

Then click OK.

Ok, thanks, I just thought I'd be able to cut n paste or something. Let's see now, where are those 2 mountains and the sun now....Oh, I see 'em....

Anyhow here are the logo's I designed. I divided Texas into a sort of "Windows" motif and the rest is obvious.
