Graphic Design Contests

Hi,

I am currently redesigning my website and am a little short on time at the moment, which is why I am running this competition...

As part of the new design I have started using a new forum, called wowbb. Basically I am looking for someone to create me a theme that matches my site, in return they get $100, simple.

The new forum can be found at http://forum.notsounknown.co.uk/test and the new site design can be found at http://www.notsounknown.co.uk/sunshop_test/.

The design must include the header and footer from the site (I have added them in the current skin as an example) and must fit in with the design of the rest of the site.

It will probably be better if you start the theme from scratch (in my opinion). If you visit www.wowbb.com you can find some info on their themes.

How the competition will work...

I will allow 1 week (until 28th Sep 2005) for you to submit you designs here. I don't think there will be much to worry about with people stealing ideas as it's based on the same thing anyway.

After the week is up I will choose a winner and contact them. They will be given the header and footer codes as well as current stylesheet, any required graphics and ftp/wowbb login details.

The winner will have one week to complete the theme, when the $100 will be paid.

Please note - I am in need of getting this done quickly, so I reserve the right to end the competition early if I like an early design.

I have probably missed a few things here, so please post questions and I will answer asap.

The current theme is not far off what I would like it to look like, it is called 'soft grey' and can be found at http://www.grafx13.com/forums/view_t...=34&forum_id=4.

The current forum can be found at http://forum.notsounknown.co.uk. I am keen on using the headphone icons.

Is soft grey the theme the forum is running now? I can't see the stuff on the link, I have to register to do so.

Don't you want it to match your site colors?

Yes, the softgrey is the theme that is on at the moment, http://forum.notsounknown.co.uk/test.

You do have to register to download the item, if you PM me your email address I'll send you the zip file, I don't want to link to it and break any of their rules though.

I do want it to match the site colours, however I like the feel of that template so I thought it might be a good starting point.

i might be able to get you a forum template, i am used to do phpBB/eboard/Yabb/SMF but i have never worked with WowBB. so it may take a while...

Hi guys,

Okay, at the moment Jakes design number two is my fav. I'm still waiting to hear from Halbarad though.

Jake, would you like me to email you the soft grey theme so you can see how wowbb themes work or are you okay with that? Also, say you were to win the competition (which looks very likely at the moment) would you be able to complete the design for me in a week as requested?

If anyone else has any design ideas please let me see them!
