Graphic Design Contests

Hello!

My company, Apostles Publishing, is need of an awesome logo!

I have no colors specifically in mind. I am not fond of red. I would like for this to have a graphic, such as a crazy looking cross or Bible. This does need to have flair, but not be too out of control.

Minimum prize awarded: $20 (Award up to $40)

Please post your designs ASAP!

Any size preference?...or do you have a web link?
Can it be a .psd or must it be vector? A bit more info please

You can go to www.apostlespub.com ....I do not like the current logo, but you can see what size I was shooting for. Browsing around will give you a feel for the company and what we do.

Ultimately, I want a .psd, a .gif, and a .jpg.

I would love for this contest to end Sunday at Midnight EST, but if there is nothing I like, I'm going to let it go longer. Her are a few more specs:

I do not want a banner, I want a logo with a white background.

You can look at other major publishers to see how their logos are structured:

I would love for the logo to look something like one of these two....something similar to the graphics would be great:

Here's some responses to some submitted designs, so think about them when making yours:

I would like for Apostles to be more prominent that Publishing. Similar to the way my current logo is at www.apostlespub.com, but I do not like the font. I want something fun and professional.

marcom10: I like your design, it does need to say Publishing, not just Pub. I would honestly prefer I logo that is just typed, outlined, and gradient-ed that one with lots of graphics. You have a great concept, just not fond of wings. We print books, primarily for kids.

blakehil: Good concept, not looking for a banner, needs to be a very flexible logo with a white background.

vicki: You are very talented! I do like the cross, just not for this logo. I want something kinda unusual, but in a fun, kiddy way. The font is a bit too classical, but with a changed font, it would almost be perfect!

kadiem: Same thing I said to vicki, the fonts too classy, not "kiddy" enough...LOL

Please keep them coming.....Contest prize up to $40, minimum $20.

Do you have a size/shape preference? I was trying to keep the same size as your current logo - knowing that you want it to be appealing to kids is very helpful. Thanks.

The same general size, not too much larger than the one I already have, but it doesnt have to be exact.

It doesn't have to be appealing to kids, but childrens ministry directors. (About the same! LOL)
