Hi,

in followup to http://www.webmaster-talk.com/graphi...o-contest.html I am now also opening a contest for the button.

I need a simple 120x60 pixel button which features the site's logo (attached to this posting) and a text like these

Hijacking you at .....
or
Become a Hijacker at .....
or
Be hijacked at .....

The text shall basically approach the viewer actively and communicate the site's intent by a direct message such as the examples. If you have a better one in mind please use it and I will put into additional US$ 2.

As previously the button is worth US$10.

I like them. I just think there should be a little little margin between the logo and the sides - currently it is a bit too much stucked together.

Also it seems there is a dot after the "HIJACKING YOU AT". If it should be the indicator for the then to be displayed URL, I think there should be at least three dots. Otherwise no dot.

Another thing I think to have noticed is, that there seems to be a kind of fade effect between the frames when the green bar moves up but there doesnt seem to be one when it moves back down.

I know its not large, but its a button after all .

What I am missing with them is the actual logo. Also the font is not really well readable nor very pleasing to me. Concerning the animated version, I guess that the first effect isnt that bad, but the second seems a bit out of order.

Yes, this is better. Although I have to admit that I am still not very fond of the font. Also it seems the logo itself got a bit too stretched and its also too close to the edge. Although I like the wink I somehow dont see the connection - the same with the hand.

Alrite, I thought I'd take a stab at this. I was pretty stumped of how I could incorporate the motto, so that part could be improved, I feel.

Thanks for the entry TrentonD. Why were you stumped about the motto? At first I wanted to respond that I am missing the logo though, until I noticed you used it as background watermark. Although I like the idea its not very well recognisable and seems rather like a SAMPLE watermark then the logo.

Hey neroux:

I am afraid I haven't used flash in a while, so I don't know why this has come out with such bad quality...
However, if you like it I am sure I can work out how to make it look crisp and shiny.

Let me know what you think - font, colours, etc are easily changed!

I like the two new versions. Especially the last version, however it does not contain the original logo and the green in the second frame doesnt match the first one.

I like the moving text very much, however the button seems a bit plain and also the font is not exactly pleasing.

Well, I have little to no time right now, but I thought I would try one small modification on my two button designs. I thought I'd try to incorporate your logo a little bit more.
