Graphic Design Contests

The competition:

We require a contemporary, stylish logo for our movie/music video company.

Some ideas:

Film reel, musical notes film snapper board, film camera, film lighting/projector, etc.

The company is called "Chelwood Films .co.uk".

Your logo design should be modern and be suitable for both web and print; provided in vector format.

You should preferably use a "sea" colour scheme - turquoise, blues, purples and possibly greens are preferred. However, it should be stylish, and perhaps have an element of shininess or silver to it - just an idea. If you require any more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please note that this contest is running on Rentacoder.com. In the event somebody from there wins, I'll post the final logo here out of courtesy. Either way, I'll definately be picking one from there or WT over the next few days.

DRP: The first design is rather classy, but I think the text looks a bit too... set apart - not quite part of the logo. Especially like #5. #4 has potential, but I think too much emphasis is placed on the cameraman/camera.

Wong: Please try and stick to the colour scheme. Like the first design, but a more subdued, modern look would be better.

Thank you both for your entries so far. Just as a note, the site will be quite minimalistic, so I'm keen for sleek, modern logos.

nac, I'm not too sure. Not sure what the flamelike object represents. You're clearly a talented designer, but I don't think your logo's suitable for our site - thanks for entering anyway.

I wasent to sure about it either really, just thought it looked quite cool, so I kept working on it.
Im working on a new one now though - so dont end this contest yet please!

MoonxChild, I like it!

I like the style, and it's certainly on my shortlist. If I may make a few suggestions, I think maybe the film clip looks a little too "clip-arty", but I like the free-flowing sort of musical notes. If you don't mind, I'd like to see maybe a more, possibly icon based and sleek logo.
