I need a logo and a header for my hiphopscrypt.com forum.

I have someone working on fully customizing the board with new colors, and themes (although, I don’t know how it will work out as of yet, so stay tuned for a bigger job!)

The header I visualize is similar to gamesforum.com.
Except for a collage of game characters, I would like to have a collage of animated rap legends. (2-pac, Biggie Smalls, Big Pun, Jay-Z, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, and Canibus…These are the rappers I would like to be included into this collage) The colors and gradients need to be darker, grayish, black colors, with a few reds and whatnot for the rappers clothing.
I’m not sure how else to explain this project. I am not very good with coding languages or anything so if you have any questions please ask them.

I also need a “stand-out” logo. I am looking for that “wow” factor with the logo.

"Hip-Hop Scrypt"
"The Fifth Element of Hip-Hop!"
(This is what the logo needs to say with a “Script” type of font, or one that best suits the “wow” factor description above. The font of “Hip-Hop Scrypt” needs to be larger than “The Fifth Element of Hip-Hop”, of course.)
As for images on the logo: Maybe a feathered Pen, or Scroll/Script on it. Something that is "hip-hopish" I urge everyone to be creative

Looks pretty good, except, can you make it concrete, and animated? Realistic images of the rappers (think final fantasy movie)

Entrants can submit more than one entry if they so desire.
We havnt chosen a winner as of yet (of course), and resubmitting a diff/better entry by us saying someone else is on the right track, is fine.

About The Right To Use The Images Of Rapper's... I Don't Think It's An Issue Personally, Although I Don't Actually Own The Images, It's Free Publicity For Them, There Are 1000's Of Fansite's Out There.... All Showing Pictures Of Celebritys, They Don't Have A Problem! I'm Selling My Design, Not The Images! If Anyone's That Bothered, I'm quite Happy To Sell The Logo, And Throw The Banner In For Free.

I Wouldn't Worry About Lawsuits Either, Your Forums Are Already Full Of Images that You Don't Exactly Own... I'd Be different if you were bootlegging music i'm sure, but at the end of the day you're doing these stars a favour...

You Find Me Somewhere I Can Purchase Images Of These Rappers And Still Be Able To Cover My Costs For $75, And I'll Show My Arse In The Coffee Shop Window...

YOu make a good point about the images.

Contest is still on, i simply needed "closure" with that little issue with the "rights" etc.
But yeah, that makes sense about what you said.

DRP, I'm lovin your second entry alot, (and i know this is a contest, BUT, I wanted to suggest something if i could) The logo is very nice, but is there anything you could do with it to make it "stand-out" more? Make it a very memorable logo that would be "stuck" into anyones mind when they see it. When they do come to my site, and then if they see a shirt with that logo, i want everyone to automatically KNOW where it's from

yo, keep that feather there!!! thats sick....deff. keep the feather there....maybe add a lil bottle of ink next to hip hop...? ya know...that a feather pen would be dipped into to write a scrypt. VERY good direction...
