We are a record label called 1974 records and we desperately need a logo as the first release of one of our artists is quickly coming round the bend and we need a logo for them to put on the single release.
If possible i would like something where there is 1974 in the middle of a circle (reasonably big) and then records just underneath it - then like a "frame" around it with 1974 records written about 3 or 4 times in a circle in this frame. Please use this as a sort of template to help you but any original ideas and modifications you think would be good please feel free to show me them. And also if anything - give it a sort of rock/classic rock feel to it please.

i like all of these entries - keep trying to push the classic rock side of thinks, maybe a gothic typeface or something like that, something more like a band logo or independant record company logo rather than a commercial businessy looking logo please. although i could make a decision between these threee logos i would like to see some more before making a decision.

Here is my feedback:

Resonant - i like the idea - however it is a bit too hippyish for the type of music we release on our label - think classic rock like the rolling stones, ac/dc, the darkness, and bands like that if you get where im going?

Captor of sin - too big!

webdesigner555 - i like - maybe try changing the background colours to something more vibrant and eye catching

sakr - maybe try to make the font more gothic and classic rock looking

$20 is taking the p*ss a bit isn't it?
if you were a non-profit company or charity or home business maybe, ok so you may not be Sony/BMG but i assume you're looking to make some profit and IMHO i think looking at some of the logos above you could pay more than a measly 20

hey guys - logos are looking great!!! im really sorry i havent given feedback over the weekend i have been really busy. i will leave feedback as soon as i get into the office today!

and also i would just like to say in reply to davmies comment:

firstly i would like to say we are a new record label - and therefore have, as yet, no bands on our roster, and have spent more money than you can imagine on this project and have made absolutely no profit. this is not a big business plan either, it is just a private project that me and my friend are doing in our free time. as it says i will only pay $20 in the title of this thread, i would think that anyone who makes a logo and posts it on this thread will realise thats all they will get - and if you want me to pay more than $20 for your logo, just don't post it on here. finally there is no need to leave messages like that "davmies" without actually knowing the financial situation i am in at the moment

ok, sorry if i jumped the gun - i'm a little sensitive to lots of requests on many forums where people just don't value the time and effort designers put into making logos, but as you explained your case is different and of course i realise that people don't have to do it if they think it's too little money.

davemies - thanks for the apology mate, no problem, no harm meant in my comment - reading it its a bit rude towards you, but yeah no worries, i just thought you didnt think that i valued the designers time etc. i would pay more if i had the budget - cause some of the designers are more than fantastic.
