Daniele,
No, not because the idea was already used; because the icon is associated with the pimp image. In creating a logo there will be certain themes that warrant the use of associated elements. If you're going to complain every time some one uses a baseball bat in a baseball themed logo then you might want to set aside some time to re-examine your grasp of the industry. The logo can be unique even when the elements themselves may not be. Your expectations do not come into play here unless you're the one putting up the cash.

It's not really a complaint, just an observation, a hat isn't an icon for the word pimp, you would think more 60's costumes and huggy bear, women.

But my point was aimed more towards those using the pimp my ride font, for example:

Same gradient, same white stroke, same font and the same positioning ..

i see no similarities apart from the font and the positioning. The gradient, white stroke and the black drop has allready been used on thousand of logos by the way your font and text effect is been used on other logos did i or others complain?

I'm sure the winner would prefer to be named in the forum; it is standard practice to do so and also allows confirmation that one has actually been chosen and paid.

I wasn't relating to thousands of logo's, I am talking about one logo which is known probably worldwide, which you obviously had in mind when making your entry. Not everyone has seen all the logo's you must of seen, my point was if someone was to quickly look at your logo, it would be percieved to be something related to MTV and Pimp My Ride, its looks like some sort of advertisement related to the show.

And it's irrelevent how many logo's have the same effects you used, my point was your logo looks exactly the same as the Pimp My Ride logo and has more or less all it features, its plain to see so not sure what your argument is, I am not dissing your work, your obviously a good designer, which is why you don't need to adopt other peoples designs, just constructive cristism
