This is, I guess, a rare opportunity. I'm looking for a second tattoo, but I'm having some trouble with the design.

What I would like is the words "Death Metal" done in the style of a death metal logo. For those unfamiliar with the genre and thus of the art style, the following page has many, many great examples:

For the most part, all of those are fantastic examples of what I'm looking for, though I have to say I'm looking for something intricate and pointy, while retaining some legibility; this is important, though. Death metal logo design demands some level of illegibility, so that needs to be maintained.

I'm offering $30 for a standard logo. If someone pulls off an ambigrammatical design, I'll pay $40, and if I'm really blown away, $50. I assume Paypal is cool with everyone.

Some that I like a whole lot, just to emphasize what I'm looking for:

This one in particular is a good example of a phenomenal ambigrammatical design. If I get something like this, I'll be very, very impressed.

Like this, with the curling embellishment and the septagram -- though, I have to say, if people want to incorporate a star, make it a nonagram. The number 9 holds special signifigance to me. A nonagram:

Just as an aside, blackwork is what I'm looking for (black on white in the design), but if people want to throw colour in, I'm not going to *****. Thanks!

(To those who are curious, by the way, I've tried getting into contact with the gentleman who designed all the above logos, but failed, which makes me sad.)

That's very, very cool, but it's a very complicated design. With all the small embellisments and whatnot, it looks kinda Muslim-ish. Which needs to be avoided at all costs. :P

Note that the examples I cited are, for the most part, simple designs, and have a tangible cleanliness to them that yours lacks merely because if it's intricacy.

I hate to see your hard work go to waste, so keep at it. It's a $50 candidate, for sure.

Hey thanks for the feedback. Now that you mention it, it did look kind of muslim-ish. Wasn't my intent. So I've cleaned it up a lot. I was really attempting to include the nonagram but if need be it can be removed. Well I'll do some more editing after I get some rest:

Definitely glad you're diggin' the design though.

EDIT: Oh which one do you like best of the three and I'll work on some revisions for it when I wake up?

Probably the bottom-most. I don't need a nonagram. I don't know if I need an ambigram either... it seems like it makes it even harder to read than I'd likeI.

Because I've noticed that ambigrams seem hard, I'd be willing to give $40 for a really spectacular non-ambigrammatical design (like the $50 for spectacular ambigrams...).

I'm not big into the Celtic thing (there's no Celtic history in my family, for instance), so I don't think your design is in the right direction. The words themselves need to be the design; yours are just text.

Here's mine... took 4 hours so i shouldn't really be selling it for an ungarenteed $30 but hey thats life

really hope you like it. Din't include the words death metal because it ruins the tribal shape.Hope you see how much effort went into it.

Another attempt at the abigram. The phrase "deathmetal" is more legible than the last one I submitted (at least I think so and hope you do too) and I found a nice way to include the nonagram too:

That's a cool design for sure, but without the words it's really got nothing to do with what I'm looking for. I don't want you to have wasted all that time, so if you can work the text into the wings or something, by all means do so.

hey neon umm i' hope ist ok to give ideas

umm how about putting in the text on the wings normal then stroke it with white so that it fits in with the other white spaces

just thoguth :P

Normal meaning normal font... a cool tribal font sort of thing.

Thanks for the clarity, but now that I see it, having the H and the T directly on top of each other seems... odd.
