A guy from ForumRank recently posted a review request and I liked his logo so much, that I want to try to do something along those lines with my own. I don't think it's a huge project for someone versed in flash script - just guessing but maybe would take an hour or so?

I realize that flash design is typically more complicated and time-consuming than "flat" graphics but hey, worth a shot. Feel free to watermark as needed. Will pay via PayPal as soon as a decision is reached.

What I like about his logo (beside the fact it's animated), is that it's shiny/sparkly and looks alive - I don't necessarily care about having a funky "widget" with a tail like his, but I definitely want some kind of cool metallic/shiny effect on the text.

Needs to be quick to load and easy to pop on top of the background.

I'd like to see how many people are interested in playing along before I decide on an end-date.

(An extra $25 if you can help me understand how you did it - I have MMFlash designer studio but just haven't had the time to learn it yet). If you're up for this bonus, I'll pay it after you've provided a simple step-by-step and agree to answer any questions I might have via e-mail - don't worry I'm a quick learner).

I didn't understand, you want a new logo with flash animation or want your current logo animated?

Hi sheeze - it can be either but I don't want to deviate too far from the font that's on there now. As I say, the color can be tweaked a bit - it doesn't have to be flat white.

A metallic silver/blue that has a shiny effect is what I'm most interested in. But I'm open to suggestions. If you'd rather run an idea by me before doing any coding, that's fine too - I understand that it may be frustrating taking the time to code a flash object and not get the deal.

Hi Sheeze, thanks for the sample. I think that's close.

After some thought on how I can more clearly specify the request...
I think I'm looking for something along the lines of a "shimmering edge" effect, that goes back and forth along the length of the text. Preferrably, at a somewhat random interval.

If you take a look at ForumRank's round icon, it has a metallic look to it. There's a quickly moving glittery-type effect that skirts around the circle and it uses a subtle sunburst. Sorry, hope I didn't make it too complex.

Hi Sheeze, sorry but that's not quite what I'm looking for. I appreciate your efforts though. After the holiday (i.e. some time Tuesday/Wed), I will try to better specify the request. If however there are no other interested parties, I may also withdraw the contest at that time, we'll have to see. Thanks again!

I would like to make a suggestion. I think even after "flash-ifying" your logo, it will look very out of place. I think you should host a contest for a new logo (flash or no-flash).

Hi pitza - I like it. Here's what I'd like to see (and then I'll take it):

Keep the zoom-in effect,
Keep the grey'ish color and the starburst back and forth,
When the starburst hits the little orbit around the T, have it trace around the T's orbit graphic (if you can get the speed of the starburst rotation (and/or luminosity) to be random, that would be super cool).
Transition to white like you have it currently.
Get rid of the wavy compression thing. And just loop the starburst orbit.

That's great. Now all it needs to do is just zoom in once, and just loop the starburst around the orbit and that'll do it.
