I am back again with a new logo design contest. I need a nice and clean logo for a movie forum http://www.talk-movies.com
I am looking for colors that match the current style of the forum.

wow that was fast

a 3 hour design contest for a logo
which serves as the basis of your company's brand image

id love to see how quickly done the web page is

tip: usually something that's whipped together, gets whipped out the window

or isn't even picked up to make it out the window

This was more than a 3 hour contest. More like 24 hours. And I think xpressions did a great job.

some good design in this but i fill if he/she would gave comments on the design that people had done then it would gave people time to enter better ones or different ones giving him /her more choice oh well

i just think these contests are funny

$20 logos

design firms would laugh at that price

the going rate is well over $150 for someone to even sketch an idea for logo corporate identity
never mind render a final product

Nonetheless, ablaye received a satisfactory logo design for only $20. It may be funny but it sure is effective.

its sad to see designers cut themselves short

the average salary is so low for designers
I don't know how one could make a living off it, especially by offering services for super low prices, and sometimes getting stiffed and not get paid at all

we hired a homeless guy to tape off areas and clean up / organize tools for a little over a hundred a day

what do designers do to maintain an income? collect cans?

It's gone off topic now but wanted to get my 2 cents in...

The prize was specified for the contest and the entrants decided to enter knowing what they would get if they won. What is the problem? They do not have to enter. Designers are not losing out on anything as the people who post contests here (like myself) often cannot afford to pay any more than what they offer.

If people are willing to do work in their spare time for very little, then so what. It's their choice and you don't have to do it if you don't want. Besides its great for beginners to build their portfolio and to gain experience.
