Ok, thats a lot to put in the title. I'll call the contest over on Feb 7.
I'm new to this whole contest thing so, please forgive if I do/say something stupid.
I wish I could offer more but, my site doesn't yet pay for itself (I still have a day job) so, I'm scraping up cash to do this (thats a lot of beer money).

If you've seen my site, you've see I have zero (probably negative) artistic talent (I'm an engineer dammit).
Basically, what I'm looking for, is a logo that is themed toward developers and beer. Ideally any text would use some monospaced font as in a development environment or console. I like the idea of a beer mug but, I'm not stuck on the idea.

Finally, this one is the stickler. The icon should be in SVG format (and not just embedded). Any format is fine in the forum (just so we can see it) but, when I send the money, I really want to receive an SVG file. Mostly because of how well they scale.
In addition to the paypal transfer, I'll also have a hat and tshirt from cafepress sent to you.

Tom,
that mug is pretty sweet. I like the ones-and-zeros floating above the foam.
it just needs a lower-case 'w', java dev's are camel case after all ;-)
I don't know what the font is but, I like it.

Ok, so.. i used this font because it gives your website a classy clean look. I could, of course(and i tried) use a console font, but i don`t like how it looks. If you reely reeely want a console font, i can do that

ahh, sorry. This is my first time doing this.

Well, I was thinking about the mug on your entry. I keep thinking of a more vertical look for it but, when I imagine it, I think it gets to be too tall.
I do like it a lot though. The color mixup is good too.

I think some of the entries have good ideas, building a mug out of brackets was pretty creative.

To be honest, I'm trying to figure out a way to set aside some extra cash by Wednesday to have more than one winner. This wasn't my original intention but, I really like some of these.

I need to say something important here. And I dont mean to make anyone upset, but this was brought to our attention. The entry in post #10 is very very similar to the entry in post #5. There aren't any rules against working on a similar concept, but copying is definitely NOT okay. This case is right on the line of working with a similar idea and flat out copying. PLEASE be careful when you make your designs. And "willcodeforbeer", please keep in mind that MissLee had the idea of the brackets for the beer mug first.

McBone - can you explain why you chose to use the same idea as MissLee? Did you have the idea yourself, or was it inspired by MissLee's design? Do you have any other concept ideas that might be more different?

Sometimes images don't load, or the designer doesn't check all the entries. However, since it has now been pointed out, I believe the designer needs to do the right thing and withdraw his entry as it clearly is MissLee's concept, and intellectual property is protected. I hope that the CH will take this into consideration and request any changes from the original poster should this be the design of choice.
