Contest End Date Extended. See below for details.
Here at Webmaster-Talk we like to have a good time, especially DaveMo~ but thats a story for another thread

, in light of this fact we have decided to hold a fun contest with great prizes for our beloved community. We came to this decision after realizing that we have some of the worlds best graphic designers in our midst and you deserve a chance to blow off some steam and showcase your talent for all potential contest holders to see.
Another reason that we are holding this contest is make you, the talented graphic designer and successful contest winner, are aware that angele803 and I are doing the best we can to ensure a fair, balanced and fun environment for contests to take place. However, we
need your help! There are certain criteria that are specified in the
graphic design contest forum rules that are designed to make you more successful as a designer and contest holders more pleased with their decision to tap the talent pool here at Webmaster-Talk.
One of the biggest problems we perceive is a failure to utilize the listing template. By using this template CH's can ensure they are clear in what they want and designers don't have to waste valuable time asking for more details. If you could help us by reminding CH's to utilize this template when they have failed to; this will go a long way towards creating a more rewarding environment for designers and CH's. In general though, if you see a rules violation, please report it. It is in your best interest to see this place run as smooth as possible.
Enough of my ranting though, on to the contest...
- Color scheme - Anything goes, be creative. The only requirement in this field is a rather vague one; Wind. This is done on purpose to see how creative you can be with just that one word.
- Type of design (i.e., banner, logo, layout) - This contest is for a full page layout. Things you should focus on are code-ability of the design and uniqueness.
- Desired size (i.e., height, width, file size) - No requirement.
- Prize - Ah, the fun part. We have tallied several prizes that will be outlined below.
- How prize will be delivered - Cash prizes will only be delivered via PayPal.
This contest is supposed to be fun and the theme has been kept vague in order to challenge your design skills. There will be three prize categories and they are as follows.
Grand Prize: $50USD, 2 Links in the
T-Y-F! Web Directory* and a free copy of Windows Live OneCare.
First Runner Up: $35USD, 1 Link in the
T-Y-F! Web Directory*
Second Runner Up: $10USD, 1 Link in the
T-Y-F! Web Directory*

Winners will be determined by a panel of three judges based upon a 30 point scale.
10 possible points for creativity
10 possible points for uniqueness
10 possible points for code-ability (in other words making sure it's a feasible design and would fit into a standard website coded using web standards)
