Hi, well here is the story - I live in an area with a lot of home burglaries, and the people are angry with the situation. So I have written a short report which expresses the anger of the people, and I'm going to sell it around here. It is A4 paper size, because I want it to look different to a book.
My idea is that the local shops here will support it, because they are a victim of crime more than anyone... they probably wont, but it doesn't cost much to try. But what could convince them is a really stylish looking cover right.. !
So the cover has to be:
- A4 size
- The main title: "The Burglar First City"
- Later in smaller letters: "Why the thieving crook who steals your television always gets away."
- At the bottom in even smaller letters: "Written by Luke Mansini. All profits to the expansion of the cause."
And of course some kind of picture or graphic, most likely showing a thief smashing a window or breaking into a house.. something like that, so when someone who has recently been robbed see's it, it brings back their dark memories of crime and compels them to buy it.
Something eye catching so if i do manage to get it into a few small shops, someone walking through the shop would not miss it.
Most of all I want it to look realistic, REAL LIFE... Because I want to sell to real people who have real experiences with crime, no cartoons or animation or anything like that... The perfect thing would be a real picture of a burglary in the act, photoshopped to look more eye catching and sinister but I dont know how copyright laws work, since I'm going to sell it it might be difficult.
My god this is long sorry..; )if anyone reads all this and wants to enter, it would be cool, I'm going to close this contest Tuesday 24th july, cuz on the 25th my holidays start and im going to put things into production.
The prize is $50 and I can put on the inside cover where the information is "Cover designed by: --- ---- " or anything you like.
